  1. hey peter great vids, been a fan of all your lessons and you whooping rick
    in golf.

i just recently bought a new set nbow playing the new nike vapor, i am
going to get fitted with lie and loft, but how important is it to get my
club shorten? i am 5″6 so i am a bit on the shorter side. would it make a
difference? and how will it effect my distance? isnt it the longer the club
    the further it may go?

  2. I had a fitting with Martin today for some new Cleveland RTX wedges, it was
so informative can’t recommend getting this done enough. I have been
playing TM ATV which I have been hitting Ok the Gapping between my 50, 54 &
58 was 11 yards, but I tend to pull my shots to the left. The lie board
showed I was hitting the heal and need then 2 Deg flat, what a difference
it made, I would never have thought it was this important to get fitted.
Finally Martin looked at my divots of the grass which showed as Picker
lower bounce than I am using would suit me more, instantly improved my
Bunker shots, could not believe it after all the information telling you
    more bounce is better!

  4. After hearing what he said to you about carrying three wedges, I really
think I need to get me a 52. Another excellent video as always Pete.

  5. Sounds like we hit our irons similar distances. After years of struggling
with the gaps in my wedge set, I tracked down a 52, 56, and a 64. I play an
older Titleist set and the loft on my PW is somewhere between 47 & 49*
(can’t really remember at the moment), giving me 4* gaps between my wedges
    – except LW. PW travels about 125 on avg, 52 is 115, and 56 around 100. I
rarely take a full swing with the 64 unless I’m trying to flop it or blast
out of a bunker, but I do plan to swap it out for a 60* at some point
because I’m just more comfortable with the 60* – had one, got rid of it,
    miss it dearly. lol.

  6. Hi Peter , at around 14 mins the guy in the van mentions that the grooves
on “raw-finish” clubs wear out quicker . This set alarm- bells off , cos
I’ve used a raw (rusty) Vokey 56 for about 5 years now . Does this mean
    it’s had it , or needs re-grooving ?
Cheers for any reply , Nige .

  7. Great video Pete. I went and tested wedges today myself. Tested 54* Vokey
SM5, Rotex 2.0, Tmag Tour Preferred, Ping Tour Gorge, and a 56* Callaway
    Mack Daddy 2 because they didn’t have a 54. Ended up ordering a 54 and 58
in the Ping. They fit my gaps best and the spin was similar on all of them.
Have you tested the tour gorge? Would love to get your take.

  8. Peter, stellar video and information. After 15 years of playing Mizuno
blades and Cleveland wedges I just went through an entire fitting from
driver to 4 hybrid (PING G30’s), 5 iron to UW (PING i25’s), wedges (Vokey
SM5 in 54 and 58*) and putter (PING Ketsch). Amazing experience and more
than worth the time/$$’s. Everyone should do that when getting a new
club/club’s. Hard to admit but since turning 50 it was past time to
re-evaluate my set-up and gaps…..:) Looking forward to seeing you test
out the new wedges at the short game area.

  9. The tour department sent mine a few weeks ago. They are pretty fantastic.
This is best spinning wedge since the grooves changed. I go through two
sets a year and sometimes as many as 4 lob wedges. Cheers

  10. Great video Pete but I’m a bit dissapointed by the fitting process. I
thought they would have you chipping and pitching so they could work out
what bounce you needed or just to get a feel for how you play the short
shots, surely thats what you use your wedges for the most?
Find it a bit strange that all he did was get you to hit full shots, or did
you edit some of the process out?

  11. Great video Peter !!! Really interesting to see the processes that go into
making the golf clubs and the customisation for the individual. Great to
see passionate people who really knew their product.

  12. Pete I’m new to golf to the point I have a set of graphite shaft vantage
clubs. They only cost me 50 for everything. I’m not very good I have a lot
of power and I’ve snapped 3 clubs already (I know they’re cheap that’s why
they broke) what would you recommend for me to buy. Obviously I don’t want
to spend thousands on clubs I’ve hit with the rbz driver and it was sweet
as a nut but when I use my driver I ALWAYS curve it left or right. I want
to get into it but I’m getting so frustrated now. Any advice would be
    great.

  13. The fat that fitted you didn’t seem to be the nicer guy on earth. If you
sell this stuff why can’t you be a bit more nicer to your customer.
Thanks Pete for showing us this. How did you choose your bounce on the
    wedges?

  15. Great video – I love my wedges, they have quickly become favourites in the
bag this year – we get so much stuff on drivers – yawn – but this is the
excitement end of the bag – wish we got more stuff on wedges and how to
use them – my 60/10 toe sweep lob wedge has transformed my short game :-)
