  1. I think it's a difficult thing to be relaxed throughout the body while only the necessary muscles contract. I used to play with a lot of tension and a round of golf would make me pretty tired. I also play the piano, another area where tension will kill technique. Making the comparison allowed me to relax in my swing and only allow the swing muscles to fire while everything else stays relaxed. It's not perfect yet but I'm a lot less tired after a round. Most of my rounds are at Bethpage Black and if I can walk and play that course without getting too tired, I've accomplished my goal.

  2. What happens to me 3 or 4 times a round is I get to the top of my backswing and as I start my swing I relax my grip so much that the grip slips in my hand and the club face opens significantly. I can NEVER stop the darn swing and either flare one out to the right or make a last second adjustment to try to pull the ball to compensate. For some reason it never happens on the range.
