HOW TO STOP HITTING THE GROUND BEHIND THE GOLF BALL

How do you strike your irons pure? how do you strike the ball then turf? how do you stop hitting the ground behind the golf ball? This is what we cover and more in this weeks golf instructional video.

We all want to increase the consistency of our ball striking and to do this we need to learn how to get that ball turf contact. In this weeks training you will learn a wonderful golf drill that shows you how to realise the golf club through impact correctly.

I don't know about you but Im sure its not the first time you have come across a golf tip to improve your irons. What I particularly like with this golf lesson is it really helps you feel the proper release and strike of really great ball strikers.

There are some common faults that stop golfers striking their irons and we cover each one here.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Looks like nasty weather there Danny, it was sunny and 65 here today in North Carolina, come on over we’ll find a place for you until spring in the UK comes. Great video!

  2. you say on setting up for the drill have 80% weight on left leg , is this to be retained through out the whole swing? if so is that the same
    on a normal swing?

  3. I watched almost of your video's and its showed that u are really teached with your heart and how sincere u want everyone can play better golf. I really admire u and my golfing getting better and better every time. Sorry for my bad english but i really wanna show u my gratitude to the person like u who really sincere when teaching others. Thanx once more and please keep it up bro….

  4. Great video Danny! I'm guessing my left (lead) foot should be turned out all the time at address? I always line up square. I feel like my best shots don't get any turf. When I take a divot, it's always behind 🙁

  5. Wow Danny, that weather really looked nasty. Glad when I was in the U.K., at the end of September, it wasn't like that.
Anyway, great tip. Guess we all look for consistency, and I'm no exception. Thanks for your efforts. Cheers!
