HOW TO STRIKE YOUR IRONS EVERY TIME

This video reveals how to strike your irons better. If you are having problems hitting the ground behind the ball, fat shots, thin shots or just a general inconsistency in ball striking then then this golf lesson should really help.

You can actually do one of the drills right now in the comfort of your own home to help you feel the impact of great ball strikers.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Hi Danny,
Chris from Australia just wanted to thank you for your lessons on you tube. As you may know there are literally thousands of lessons on here. Many of which I have accessed to no avail. However your lesssons are the only ones I found made sense and without too much bulls———. If you know what I mean. I viewed and took particular notice of your swing method and it made sense. Played my first game with your method and voila it’s the first time I played to my handicap in many months. I actually played without back pain when I finished my game for the first time in years. The extra power gained is remarkable to me I just don’t believe it but it’s true. All in all can’t thank you enough for your videos and demonstrations, without too much babbling. So thank you and will continue to utilise them to improve my game. Thanks a million . Chris

  2. Hi Danny, your videos have really helped my game, so I'm hoping you might have more suggestions for inconsistent iron strikers. My takeaway and downswing are pretty good. I've had a bunch of coaching sessions and they seem to think my swing is good. But I have a lot of trouble keeping the club head in the right place. Sometimes it's an inch closer to my body, leading to a duff toe strike, sometimes it's an inch further, leading to a thin heel strike. How do you keep the centrifugal force from forcing the head to various positions and ruining those clean shots we all want?

  3. @dannymaude the sound of your ball striking in this video is M.A.G.I.C. Twice in a row. I'm at work and I want to "fall sick" so I can try this ?

  4. Hi Danny! I keep coming back to this vlog. I have an issue with my right hand trying to take over the swing at impact. Is there something i can try to quiet my right hand and let the left lead?? Keep up the awesome work! Wish i was in the UK so i could come and take lessons from you! another issue i wonder about is how some of the other instructors talk about bumping and rotating the hips, which sometimes leads to the slide of the hips youtalk about here. How can we make sure we are not bumping to far?

  5. Danny great visualisation. I’ve used the “double’ hand” drill and it’s given me more confidence with backswing and the downswing. Many thanks

  6. Hi Danny

Just recently come across you on YouTube. ( wish I had found you sooner ) watched all your videos and you explain everything so simple with superb attention to details. Just a quick question.

Does this also apply with woods and drivers. I am so inconsistent with my golf and hoping to try this drill at home and the driving range.

All the best and Keep up the good work. ?

  7. Thanks Danny been struggling with my irons for a long while but took this lesson out onto the course today and struck them more consistently than I have for a long time. Playing again tomorrow with renewed confidence just to make sure today wasn’t a fluke.
Great lesson Danny thank you again.

  8. I just caddie at SONY Open Pro-Am alongside with Brandt Snedeker and he said he used to do this drill when he was at home.Thank you Danny!

  9. Subscribed due to this video. I'm a very recreational golfer with zero training – just really enjoy the game. Finally got a new set of irons after only hitting used ones I've been given/bought as hand-me-downs, and iron game was less than desired. After using these techniques today – I had beautiful, high loft, with a gorgeous draw after only TWENTY MINUTES. Insane. I had a terrible hook. Swapped from baseball grip to interlocked, which helped a ton too (based off of another video), the the snapping-hand mentality close to the thighs helps me so much. Thanks, Danny!
