ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Excellent video , I’m working on use my hips with my coach but have struggled so far, however this may just be the method for , thanks Danny

  2. Hi Danny, I have to say GREAT TIP !. I watched your video & applied it at the range today. I thought I was out of place when striking the ball. I applied your DEMO and it worked immediately . I am a 7.2 index handicap & this video helped tremendously ! Thanks again. Brian

  3. Hi Danny great video, I love the idea of prasticing before hitting, this is coming from a born and breed range junkie which I believe has helped at all in the long run. OK so my swing is following your teaching but I seem to get to the top of my backswing with a good full turn then I see to rise slightly and extend further. Also my rythm and tempo is not good. With this in mind I'm thinking of investing in a swing analysis gadget possibly the Zepp 2 and wondered if you had any general comments about these devices.

  4. Great video. I couldn't control my hips, they were either too active or lazy as hell. Here's how I trained them to work better. Stand in front of a full length mirror so that you can see your entire body, especially your hips. Now take a golf ball in your right hand (if you're right handed) and throw it as if you're trying to skim it across the surface of a pond that's to your left. Repeat the motion over and over. As you do so, watch how your hips work during the movement. Repeat the movement many times in the mirror, then take a club and do exactly the same with the club as you did throwing the ball. Repeat as much as necessary until it's ingrained.

  5. You have done it again Danny! You make me understand the fundamentals of the golfswing, and you do it so well. i wish you a great week, on and off the golf course, of course 😀

  6. Hello Danny after watching your videos my golf is improving but when I set up to the ball I find I hit the ball cleaner by keeping my club a couple of inches Back is this ok

  7. This is a really good demonstration. An improper/non-existent hip turn (as opposed to a hip sway) was the last major component that was missing from my swing, and I didn't understand how important it was until my instructor had me focus on it. It changed everything for me, in ways that are too extensive to detail here. Great lesson. It's a shame it can't give it more than one thumbs up, it's that crucial in one's understanding of a repeatable golf swing.

  8. Thx Danny another great video. Just to give you some feedback. Thanks to your video's im now feeling a lot more in control of my swing. Got a small cut in medal today and bar two bad holes could have had a big cut. I feel I'm improving week on week with your help and actually know what im doing now. If i have a few bad holes i now have the tools to work out where I'm going wrong and how to correct it. Still a long way to go as off 19 and today's video is another tip i can work on. Anyway i realise I'm rambling now but just wanted you to know what a big impact you are making on my game and consequently my well being.

  9. Hi Danny, thank you very much for thr hip turn explanation, especcially your creating torque by turning the screw example…gteat thank you…Heiner from Germany

  10. Hi Danny, Great explanation !! it's the right lesson that I'm waiting for since…
Now I have no excuse to not improve ?? …need to practice.. will let you know the feedback.
    Merci beaucoup

  11. Danny I like the screwing image.???..Brilliant analogy!
I know it sound obscene but I meant it…better than Pete cowan spiral staircase analogy!

  12. hi danny, i was very impressed with your video, i wan to ask you, how to hit the ball on hard ground and slippery, i can do it with my fullswing iron or wedge, but very difficult if i do halfswing, chip or pitch, thank you before

  13. I am a new golfer and your videos are helping me so much. I had several years of martial arts training so frequently equate learning one move at a time and owning it with learning golf, so how awesome you used the same analogy here! I even have one of my bo sticks I am using for this. Excellent style of instruction Danny, please keep them coming.

  14. Cheers Danny . This is the part of the swing of which have beeb aving some problems with . The hip turn . Thank you for explaining the correct way & why it's the correct way . And where the club face should be . 1st class as always my friend ?
