ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Hi Danny … thanks for this lesson. It explains why sometimes I get it right … and often get it wrong. Keep up the great tips

  2. Very informative as usual and easy to follow Danny do have a video on gaining height with fairway woods I seem to hit the ball clean but with little height thanks for any help

  3. HiDanny, pretty inconsistent, been concentrating on chipping at last seems to be working, your last two on chipping and pitching have been really useful, then going to concentrate on Driver, tried many things just haven’t found that Eureka tip that works for me.

  4. Your videos are so knowledgeable and you explain golf so well. Would love to see a video on the release of the club during impact.

One question, in your older video on power you mentioned to focus on the torso muscles, which is very interesting. Do you ever focus on the hands at all during the downswing?

    Thank you

  5. Interesting video. I've been using a similar technique for the last three years with considerable success. But I'm not sure that I understand your explanation of how one's shoulders play a role. My key swing thought is that the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders play no active role in the swing. Instead, I envision the swing as a rotation around my "core". That is, the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders simply follow the core rotation. Watching your swing, it looks to me that's what you are in fact doing. And thanks for posting.

  6. Hi Danny, another great video, my problem is always which club to use. Chip or Pitch, as a high handicapper I tend to use a 7 iron as it reduces the risk of 'thinning' my wedge. Your video has reminded me about pace of swing as well as rhythm. Good shout!

  7. I have not tried it yet but I'm thankful you did not try to convince me that my chipping woes were because I was trying to lift the ball. For someone that has always been a poor chipper your advice makes allot of sense.

  8. I love how you go into great detail on all of the faults that can occur whenever you are talking about a given subject. It helps ordinary golfers such as me relate to what you are teaching and it sets you apart from all the rest. I always seem to find a fault that i have which then helps me eradicate it. Thankyou as always a great video

  9. Great video. It appears that the golf club is set up with a lean and setting of the wrists or cocked instead of a vertical shaft position.

  10. I just tried this in my house with practice foam balls and I’m now a pro chipper all of the sudden. Great breakdown Danny. Keep the videos coming. One thing I couldn’t find from you was a video on the proper grip. I’ve looked for other videos but no one has a detailed and up close one. Can you make one please as I’m sure you’ll break it down better than anyone out there.
