Pointless… longer shaft obviously gives more speed!
You´re still 10 mpg plus behind in ballspeed compared to the srixon driver
you to tried earlier. Thats massive, must been some different settings?
Srixon Z545 vs. Both of these please.
Callaway V Series will smoke them both. You’ve done a review with the V
Series and G30, and the V Series got 121mph club head speed. Good review
Rick.
Perhaps he should use a longer tee to get rid of those low on the face
hits.
Longer shaft and much lighter…if you’re going to test speed use the same
length shaft
Used both today at local shop on simulator.
99-100 club head speed about +5 from my normal club.
Nice drivers not so nice prices lol.
Rick would you say the land angle of the ping didnt help with the roll out
or best carry?
SPEED CHALLENGE Ping G30 Vs TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver
@TaylorMadeTour Vs @PingTour
I’m not having it that these fins affect clubhead speed enough to measure.
They make the clubhead more aerodynamic from face on and the wind tunnel
testing is done face on. How long is the clubhead actually travelling face
on for in the downswing though?
Also regarding the AeroBurner, a stupidly light driver surely isn’t what an
average mid-high hcp golfer who may get a little quick from the top needs.
The thing I don’t understand about all these lightweight and long
drivers… Long and light is probably the last thing you want for the
average golfer who has trouble with coming over the top and hitting a
slice. Sure the clubhead speed goes up, but who knows where the ball is
going. Fore right would be my guess.
TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver is like Burner 2.0 great club for distance. I
have a G30 9deg stiff last round in Spain was 75 and -2 twice on a 9 hole
course here in Iceland . The Ping G30 keeps it more on the fairway very
forgiving club.
a couple MPH isnt worth the garish look on the TM
the taylormade was faster so in terms of what you were testing its the
winner. the g30 was so much straighter though, does the light weight of the
Aeroburner not make it harder to control? Its not much use being 2 mph
faster if you keep putting it in the trees
Rick, it seems like the technology alone should increase the club head
speed without having to swing harder, which for me, affects the accuracy of
my shots. Wasn’t convinced it did that based on your testing. I love the
look of both of these club though.
why didn’t you choke up on the TM shaft and eliminate that variable? Kind
of a pointless duel for the goal.
I would have thought it would have been a much better and useful test if
you had measured the ball speed instead of Clubhead speed.
Next one needs to be the AeroBurner vs the Callaway V Series since both
have extremely light shafts. 🙂 Perhaps?
Has anyone ever told you ya talk too much, less talk and more hitting
which driver was the most forgiving it seems you hit the burner all over
the face
it seems the Taylor made is more forgiving and more distance
Rick,
Please compare Aeroburner vs. Jetspeed for distance/accuracy with your
simulated fairway challenge. I’d like to see that one!
Fun video’s!
Taylormade AeroBurner vs Callaway Big Bertha V Series
We’re our titleist old v new
I hate you and Peter now…and I say that in the most loving way…lol.
looking at your shots the G30 is seems more forgiving, so that will do for
me, I’ll always have this over swing speed
I love my G30 (coming from a G15), but that Titleist has my interest
peaked. But I just got the G30 and won’t be making a ~$400 dollar change.
