TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron | Golf Review

http://www.4golfonline.com/taylormade-m-37.html The TaylorMade 2.0 irons feature cone technology and a new black finish. The 2.0 irons have been tuned for great feel and distance and have to be some of the strongest golf irons on the market. The TaylorMade 2.0 is taking over the Burner 09 iron which where very popular. Taylormade Burner irons have always been a popular golf brand and the 2.0 will be a strong addition to the Taylormade iron range.

  1. Mark, First… great reviews, I alwys check out your reviews before trying
to make a change. I am looking to replace my irons and I am concidering the
Burner 2 or the MP53. The fiiter I saw today is a Taylor Made rep and
suggested the B2. I am going to see the Mizuno fitter next week. Can you
give me a your thoughts between the two? I have clubhead speed at 88 ball
speed 108. Playing now at 10 hcp. Have been devoting a lot of time at the
range and plan on continueing that trend. Thanks. SG

  2. Great review! I just picked up a set of these irons and I must agree with
you! My game has definitely improved because of the upgrade in equipment. I
was using older ping irons that were good don’t get me wrong. But these are
so much more responsive, forgiving and better looking. I also picked up the
tm rocketballz 9.5 driver! Was using the titleist 983. I added at least 30
    yards to my drive.

  3. @4golfonline i am really stuck in between two sets. I am an intermediate
player looking to really improve my game. Im looking to hit the ball a lot
higher and lengthen my shots. I’m using a pretty sharp set right now and im
hitting the ball fairly well but its time i upgrade. I cant decide between
the taylor made burner 2.0’s or the nike sq machspeed. Ive watched all your
videos about them and you seem to speak highly of both. I was hoping i
could get your opinion on the two and their flaws.THX!

  4. oh wow varsity. i’m sure tiger woods, phil mickelson, rory and adam scott
all have the same perspective of clubs as you do. They’re on varsity as
    well… lol

  5. i bought the 2.0 and i was a solid 25+ handicap. with a whole set of burner
2.0 i shot 78 my first time out with them (white tees). 85 my second time
out from gold tee’s (behind the blues). my game has literally done a 180
    with these clubs

  6. Hi the burner 2.0 irons a good game improver and the dark metal finish
against the chrome looks nice. But and a big but the dark Colour will start
to scratch very easy when in the bag makes them look well old after a few
    rounds.

  7. I’d like to thank you for your videos. I watched many of them before buying
new irons. I ended up going with these ones. An upgrade from my Adams Golf
Ovation irons, that I purchased about 4 years ago. I started golfing about
6 years ago and I’m about a 30 handicap. Just a weekend golfer, but love
the game and want to get better. Again, I ended up buying these 2.0 irons 2
days ago and I gotta tell ya, they are amazing!! I’d say almost every iron
has an extra 20 yards vs my old ones. Thanks again!

  8. Definitely. I actually tested the original burners to the 2.0s and found
the originals to feel better but these irons are great and feel like
butter. Maybe look into the originals because im sure they are dirt cheap
    now.

  9. Yes you can Eric…..I just got these 2 days ago and the store where i got
them from did the fitting right here for 50.00! Went to range and love
them! Playing them for the first time tomrrow at my golf league!

  10. i’m looking to get my first set of custom made irons, i am crossed between
the callaway x-22, the taylormade 2.0 and the wilson di11. i am not
bothered about the cost but if you could could you give me 1st 2nd and 3rd
and why you chose the 1st. thanks.

  11. @rdncklumba5030 I would say it depends on how you play man, I shoot about a
7 handicap from blues and I switched from nike irons to these and now im
shooting terrible lol, nearly doubled my handicap..I think its the shaft
length and the offset of each iron, makes it more difficult to hit the ball
for me and when I do they go sooo far, I hit my 6 iron 220 yards on average
with these, I would like to hit a 6 iron 190 max..They are weird clubs to
    get comfortable with..Good luck!

  12. Hi Mark Devon here from B.C I ‘am a 7 handicap and have just purchased the
burner 2.0 club set i can hit the driver over 300+ consistently straight
and irons distance is phenomenal with my old paradise irons i would have to
    hit on a par 3 210 yrds a 5 iron with the burner 2.0 i can use a strong 7
or a nice and controlled 6 i will admit they have cut my game by 4-5
strokes each game so thank you for recomending these clubs oh and im only
    15.

  13. Just go to your local golf shop and have them fit you for some irons. I
went to Golf Galaxy and hit about 10 different 7 irons from 6 different
brands. Oddly enough I came down to the Burner 2.0 and the Nike’s as well.
They both felt pretty much the same to me off the face, and gave good
results. I just was more consistent with the 2.0’s, so that’s what I went
    with.

  14. i love my burner 2.0 irons driver and 5w. probably going to by 3w now.
between these clubs and watching 4golfonline tip videos i broke 80 for the
first time in my life. i have a slow swing so i went with graphite shafts
(im only 26 yrs old). the clubs just seem to do all the work for you. i
finally feel like i can control my shots with these clubs and i am hoping
to be playing scratch golf by the end of summer. thank you taylormade and
    especially thank you 4golfonline.

  16. does it say 2.0 on in the cavity on the back of the face as shown in the
video? If you look at the video they are black and crome. I am not aware
that they come in crome only, but would be strange as this was one of the
key changes from the 09, 1.0 clubs. I would check with who you bought it
from and even Taylormade to be sure. Good luck.
