  1. As a young golfer I often get discouraged with pursuing golf beyond the
    game. What gets me is how there can be such beautiful facilities and
    amazing coaches around the world. with all these kids trying to make it.
    And how kids don’t make it to the pga tour. How can a kid with these kinds
    of opportunities pass them by?

  2. Because eventually you have to actually earn a living. You either have to
    be a truly top notch player, or be able to market yourself separately from
    golf like Fowler did. Take advantage of a scholarship to get a degree that
    will allow you to build a career. The tour is a hard way to earn a living
    for most guys, and by the time they’ve figured that out they’re in their
    thirties and wind up in a pro shop somewhere.

  3. el and also might not have the money to make it because it costs $100,000+
    for just the nationwide tour so you could see how they might not make it

  4. grades, statistics, and tournaments won to get into these colleges. But for
    the PGA Tour, they have to qualify in major tournaments and get sponsors
    and especially to have the amount of money to make it. The better you are,
    the more sponsors you get and the less you have to pay to enter tournaments
    and with that you still have to pay back the sponsors with the amount of
    money you win in the tournaments. and some kids pass them by because they
    don’t want to continue to pursue golf at a higher lev
