This has made me realise (i think) is i was bringing my arms back too close to my body so i was shanking it alot, i thought it was fully my hip rotation (which im still working on) but doing the half swing i was able to hit it with hip rotation like really consistently where as when i was doing full swing i consistently shanking it.

Would this be correct if i am bringing the club too close to my body it would produce shanks because im not able to create the distance even with correct hip rotation?
