Tiger Woods has one of the purest, most flush, and most powerful iron swings in the game of golf. The only real unnecessary body movement in his swing is a slight head dip at impact, which you can see in this face-on view. Tiger posts up on his lead leg, making it completely straight at impact to obtain maximum power and deliver exceptional force to the ball.

Leg separating is the dip?

@christiananderson4591 says:

Softening of the left elbow on the downswing generates far more speed and straightens at impact while saving the rotator cuff in older age. At 65 I carry the 7 iron 190 and the driver 285. It ain't youth or strength LOL

@edwardborgias says:

Why do people make note of "head dip" or "shoulders dropping" when what is actually causing it is a lowering of the body or a squatting motion to use more of the ground. I just saw a video on Tommy Fleetwood talking about his magic lead shoulder move..I commented next they'll make a video titled "Tommy Fleetwoods Magic head dip move".. I said it as a joke yet here we are with a similar video. If the point of the video is to illustrate that the head doesn't need to stay perfectly still fine but so many people Isolate one part of the body and ignore the driving factor. And when it comes to almost everything in the upper body lowering it isn't much more than a squatting motion responsible. Obviously other factors but that's 90% of it

My swing looks like that

@mikegrier2829 says:

Videos and commentators on TV often talk about his head dipping down. Watch carefully and you will notice that it is not just his head. Watch his belt buckle. I think it’s his whole body, so to speak, and it’s the unloading of his trail side.

@KirkLovesBogeys says:

This guys pretty good. He should play professionally.
