The new TaylorMade Qi4D driver from TaylorMade represents the newest in the company's carbonwood era, with refinements to the performance and functionality. The TaylorMade Qi4D driver features an updated shape, a new face roll design to improve mishits, and more adjustability with four weight ports on the sole to adjust center-of-gravity. But how does the TaylorMade Qi4D compare to its predecessor, the TaylorMade Qi35 driver?

you guys should try the newest one first so you can see if it is better and more forgiving. Seems like you are always warmed up a little more when you go to the newer model.
That dispersion is crazy good
Just got fitted at Cool Clubs and landed with the Ping G440 LST with Ventus Black 6+ S shaft but landed on the TM Qi4D 3W with Mitsubishi Blue C6 shaft as my fairway finder. I'm 55 yo with driver swing speed sitting about 105-107 average. G440 LST getting me around 280 total distance on good strikes and the Qi4D around 260 and they are right, that Qi4D is nice and straight. I am so happy I have a club I can trust as a fairway finder with decent distance now!!
Posted a week ago yet Kevin's says he's never "hit" this head before (speaking of the Qi4D).
Didn't the channel make an embargo video of….ALL the new drivers hitting shelves, well now, like 2 months ago?
Am I missing something here? Or am I thinking of another master fitter for THAT specific video?
All these tests with composite faced drivers are in “new or like new” condition. How does performance degrade after hundreds or thousands of hits. Knowing composite materials, they don’t like multiple, concentrated, high impact hits.
Maybe I missed it – it’s important to know which version of each model you were using ?
I like the Qi35 better.
his spin is so low – he needs a max version
17:51 are you sure you’re all over the place? If that’s “all over the place” then what am I?
I think in cases like this where one driver is swung 1-2mph faster than the other it would be beneficial to hit a few more with the slower one just to make sure it isn't due to the fact you're a little more warmed up body wise.
HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO YOUR COBRA OPTM LS DRIVER ? THANKS
Thought you guys were gonna talk about the new shaft and how it affects or contributes more
I thought based on your advertising you give the highest trade in values? i just plugged in my driver and you guys are giving 65 when everyone else is offering 80! How is offering 20% less “the highest trade in value?”
Warmed up by the end. Go back and hit the Qi35 again to see if that makes any difference.
You two need to do a WITB. And, I've said it before but it bears repeating, Kevin is your best 'foil' in these reviews – it just works.
Got my Qi4D LS with a blue REAX 60 S shaft and it’s a game changer. Came from a G430 LST. Miles better than the PING. Words I never thought I would say.
Fantastic dispersion and ball striking. Definitely a very straight driver. As for distance, approximately for every 1 mph of increased clubhead speed will yield 3 yards of distance. So if you were a robot testing both clubs at exactly 108 mph clubhead speed average, the distance would be the same with both. The newer driver only went further because of swinging out of his boots trying to see how far it would go. He could likely swing the QI 35 that same speed if he tried. So yes there is a significant dispersion consistency with the new model but as for distance if you were testing with a robot there would be zero.
Not saying it’s not a good driver it certainly is, one of the better looking ones they have come out with and it definitely does perform well to keep you in the fairway.
The 4d seems to be getting a whole lot right
