Ok but we amateurs dont swing and hit the way pros do.
It would be interesting to hear the testing results of LAB Golf vs Taylor Made Pure Roll with amateurs not pro's.
Well, you can get hybrids all the way from 3iron to gap and sandwedge hybrids.
I'm very impressed by this guy (Tyler), he knows exactly what is going on. I totally agree what he is saying. As a teacher I don't do many fittings as we have 3 other pro's who do that, but I'm aware of what they are doing and most importantly I see what the end result is when I'm teaching the players after they've been fitted. All the clubs that Tyler mentioned I would agree are the picks of 2025. I was especially pleased that he mentioned Cleveland wedges over Vokeys. I've been a long time Vokey user but the biggest short game improvement I've seen has been in players have been those that have been fitted into the RTZ's.
I would only differ (or add) to the low spin drivers. The best results I've seen with better higher speed players have been with the Titleist GT3 and the Ping 440 LST. A significant improvement.
Very interesting to hear Tyler's thoughts on the best clubs of 2025, I agree that the TaylorMade Qi35 fairway woods were really good but I still prefer the Qi10 Tour as it is probably the best fairway wood I have ever played and it is a very fade biased club in both 3 and 5 wood.
I tell you what, I think the best G.I. iron for 2025 just got released. I was lucky enough to already get a set of the Srixon ZXi R and I gotta say, it ticks all the boxes for me. Feel, looks, and performance. You won't find a softer, dare I say forged-esque feeling G.I. iron that performs the way these do. Srixon is really on to something here with the i alloy.
This was excellent. Well done both. I would just add that the GT2 Driver and Fuji shafts generally both deserve a big shout out.
Interesting discussion.
SO many Mizuno models… Just got the T350 and love it in graphite.
Just a thought.. maybe start a second YT page for these podcasts..?
