It's new irons day! My new Ping i525 irons just arrived and it's time to put them to the test against my current Ping i500's.
As with all new Ping clubs, they're pretty expensive, so I'm hoping I've not made a costly error, ordering these irons before testing them.
They have a lot to live up to – I love the Ping i500's, they were a great combination of power and playability.
Can the i525's live up to they hype?

does i525 has muscle back? or blades?
Your sample size is way too small to infer any sort of insight from the data.
Ping irons , do have loud of shots.shooting fast and easy,…..i 525.i 530.i blade..I 59 …go for it….G too…
You play standard lofts? Or retro spec?
You find new clubs will always come out better on a u tube test thats jow you sell them
Sorry to call you out but this wasn’t an honest test. First issue was the exaggerated dispersion ring on i500. Tighten it like i525 and they are similar. Next the flyer had low height. Looks like it was thinned and a little toe. I fly every set of clubs when that happens. I still appreciate your work but for me it seems like you were justifying a switch for the sound. I have a wife of 25 years and I try to justify every set of irons I buy. Look forward to the next big Ping release with you.

Glad to hear you are getting along well with them thus far. I also ordered a set (4-U) of 525's green dot and 54 + 60 4.0 Glides. 6-8 weeks delivery can't come soon enough.
Very interested in this test. Currently play Mizuno MP20 MB 6-PW. Switched from HMB due to the flier / knuckle ball issue. The blades are more consistent. Got fitted for the i525 and tested it up against Mizuno MP223 and TM770. But found the looks feel and consistency to be excellent with the i525. Waiting to test the Glide 4.0 wedges before putting the order in for the irons 6-U.

You appear to be around 6'3", 190 lbs. Do you feel like you get good iron distance in relation to your size?
