I've just started playing again after 3 years off. I have only been playing for about 5 years in total. I am really enjoying the content, especially with Liam.
I have started doing some of the practice drills and have seen improvement while on the range. It's not so good out playing on course. I top a lot of shots, but when it all flows, I hit great shape shots rather than a fade/slice.
I know not to expect instant results. I am changing my shots shape completely, and I am poor at golf, to say the least. I understand more practice will eventually see me playing good rounds.
Thanks for all the content it's really helpful.

Re subscribed now back with Liam, really enjoyed the other vids was a shame you went down a different route, looking forward to seeing what’s coming

I feel like James has been on more journeys than Bilbo Baggins!

James- your one arm swing warm up needs to follow what Liam showed you way back. Keep that arm on your body and turn your chest.

@glyntaylorwilliams says:

The main issue I see when you play YouTube golf is your always in the rough, or going for hero shots, which makes you score even worse.

Constantly using the driver instead of planning your way from the green back to the tee, taking into account the width of the fairways.

Literally always chipping and stuck in trees. Make it way harder than it needs to be.

@Jeffers-q5m says:

Liam says ' he's been a player ' indicating that James is a ' player ' ? ( does that mean you're a pretty good golfer ? ) Anyway James has been getting and posting on you tube swing advice from as many coaches as he can and I'm sure even James knows this is not a great idea for improving your game ? But it's good for his You Tube content and that's the most important thing ? You Tube content the main aim even if it fxxks up your game ?

Always really listenable and fascinating… 👍

Is that Gary Milne Liam?

Back again son . . . bish, bosh, bash.

@RayzTeeZ says:

Great stuff being back with Liam mate. Love how he talks and explains golf. Process process

@jassonsw says:

I like Liam but boy can he talk. You looked a little bit like someone trapped in a conversation at a party 😂

@ray1dad says:

Have you ever notice pros practicing they are always working on the basics not just pure fundamental’s but also on the thing that work for them. Grip stance ailment if they get off which is usually the case then they have a problem. I have a tendency to close my shoulders.

@queens1139 says:

Hi James, been following your journey and rooting for you.
When Liam mentions a coach called Gary who taught him a lot of this stuff….who is Gary? (Surname)
Many thanks and all the best, mate!

@pedros1886 says:

JD fooked your swing a bit after you were wanting to hit a fade (not in a bad way. The wee ginger guy is like rainman & his goal is to make you more efficient ). So no wonder you had too many thoughts working with different coaches

@kenrehill8775 says:

We’ve had 3 pros at our club in 2 years, and not one of them was able to tell me that I was pivoting my upper body, not one. They were telling me what the effects was, but not how to fix it. So I bought sports box AI and having already studied biomechanics at uni (analysis of Olympic javelin throwers, so highly relevant), worked it out myself. Lack of flexibility in my hips, resulting in bad/inconsistent presentation of the club face, so no tits to the target, and no follow through because I shortened my arms prior to impact. When you watch the stock man that the app makes, it’s pretty graphic.

Now I know when I’m doing it wrong because I’m hitting the ground behind the ball, so I know to dynamise my hips and lengthen my arms. The AI app will tell you more than 90% of club pros.

@The-Panel-Builder says:

Good to see you back with Liam, hopefully you can steady your game again and start winning tournaments 👍👍

@sandersson2813 says:

Mostly it's a lack of talent and a lack of course Management.

@BagsBirdies says:

I like watching the journey of your golf. I think with YouTube it’s either a pure entertainment channel (BobDoesSports) or it’s about your journey. Many can relate more to watching you document your journey and is also more authentic

@Golferviv says:

Great to see you back with Liam, James. As you know from our time together at Remedy, I’ve been with him for a few years and gone through the same journey as you (had some lessons tried other coaches, went back) once committed to his methods grinding his drills only the improvements come quickly. Look forward to following the journey, great content. 🎉

@smoozerish says:

In reality, most amateur golf instructors are useless charlatans and obsess about things that may have worked for them briefly as a player. Only 1% of golf coaches should be listened to that genuinely understand the golf swing and can adapt to different pkayer swing types.
