Faldo had a point with regards to LIV Golf. Multimillionaires being paid stupid money for merely turning up by a bunch of oil-rich tyrants was capitalism showing its most ugly side. I've personally always had a bit of a soft spot for Faldo. He's just not a particularly polished PR performer.

I took my son to watch a open years ago we were at the putting green when Faldo walked pass he open one of the gates and asked him did he want to come on to the putting green with him so don’t believe everything that they say about him.

A good friend of mine was a wedding reception at a golf course in England and Faldo was there. This was just after he'd retired. My friend said that despite being intruded upon for a few photos that he was the nicest bloke, no side or irritation at all. Good stories, bad stories. Always was a massive fan of Nick Faldo and liked his sense of humour.
