Hey Clay! Did you not get the memo from TM?? It doesn’t matter about face angle anymore! Just need an M3 with TwistFace technology.

steve Fowler says:

a number of years ago when I was still developing my game I took some lessons at Bayhill from the late Mr. Dick Tiddy (#2 behind Arnie at Wake Forest and head of instruction at Bayhill…RIP Mr. Tiddy)…my first lesson he talked to me about having the felling of rotating the club face as I swung and we started out with me trying to hit hook shots…once I was there, he smoothed me out to learn to hit a draw…it really propelled my game and I got down to about a 7 handicap (lots of 78's, 79's) when I decided I needed to learn to hit a fade if my game was going to move forward…that was a fun experience which I did by myself on the range…now I can pretty much hit draws and fades on command and when I get time to get tuned up for a few weeks at the range I can shoot around par from the blues.

Great video. This is probably the most important video anybody who slices can watch.

228justaround says:

Great video as usual. Thank you for taking the time to put it together. Ive seen you mention this before and think its always been with a driver or mostly off a tee. Are you suggesting this same motion with majority of clubs even off the fairway assuming full swing shots (excluding chipping/pitching around the green shots)?

Glenn Watson says:

That was helpful.

Phil Hodder says:

Another brilliant tip from the Ballard! Thanks Clay.

randy underwood says:

i figured this out just this past summer. i had the "thought" of my left thumb doing the "hich-hike" as i started down. not only did it square the club head it got it on the proper path and reduced the getting "stuck" issues i had.
thanks for the refresher course. wishing y'all the best this new year as well

Robert Moore says:

Great tip. I have been working on squaring the club face more at the range. This tip has helped a lot. Thanks. Bob
