Cobra claims the new FutureFit33 hosel is the most adjustable on the market with 33 settings. Our fitters think it's a great product but golfers need to understand what it can and can't do so don't buy without watching this first.

If you tested the FutureFit33 with a robot it would show you one set of results but in the hands of a real golfer (in this case Aaron Ellis) you'll get different set of results as golfers adapt to what they see in their hands.

So, is it the dream club for players like to tweak their kit or can it cause more problems for some golfers? We find out in this thorough test.

The club is a Cobra DS Adapt X with the Future Fit 33 hosel.

ABOUT SGGT

SGGT is known for its unique, detailed 4, 6, 8, PW iron fittings at our flagship Edinburgh and Chesterfield studios. Where as many fitters use only 7 iron to fit an iron set, SGGT goes through the bag to find you the best fit for your game.

Recently, a customer said he thought SGGT offered the “World's Best Iron Fitting” at our flagship Edinburgh and Chesterfield studios. He challenged us to find anywhere else in the world that offered all this in iron fittings:

• Fitting across set 4, 6, 8 irons & PW. Not just a 7 iron.
• Completely brand independent so you're guaranteed unbiased advice
• Largest heads/shaft selection in Europe. We have the biggest matrix.
• Premium balls – ProV1s etc instead of range balls.
• Your choice of grip – We'll put your preferred grip on the clubs you're testing.
• An opportunity to test off mats & grass, indoor & outdoor during the fitting. It's the only way to see the true ball flight and test turf interaction. Plus you still get the benefits of our Trackman launch monitors.

We haven't found anywhere else yet. So, is SGGT the “World's Best Iron Fitting?”. We'd be genuinely curious to know so please do get in touch.

Please Note: There are regional service variations offered at our Netherlands studios. Please contact them for details.
If you'd like to experience an iron fitting on this level then contact our Edinburgh or Chesterfield studios – or book online at www.sggt.co.uk

I switched to the MaxK from the tsr2 distance is shorter but my goodness it feels great to be in the fairway.

Great review guys, the FF33 adapter has been really fantastic in my Cobra King Tec hybrid for making minor adjustments to loft and lie based on how I am swinging the club and on the specific golf course that I am playing on any given day, I agree that its advisable that a golfer initially gets fitted for both clubhead and shaft but after that I reckon that its perfectly fine for any golfer with a reasonable knowledge of club fitting to tinker with the wide range of adapter settings on their Cobra clubs, most of the time I play my hybrid on the A3 setting as I always prefer my fairway woods and hybrids to play a little flatter.

I was fit into this driver, 9 Deg, Tensei Blue 60S, works great for me my fit setting is A7, never changed. Nice thing is the fitter was able to go off of this and fit other drivers similarly. The second best fit was the G2, the Callaway Elyte core, then Qi35 core. The GT2 was pretty close, the Callaway was behind and the Qi35 was a terrible fit for me. I think the DS Adapt FF33 is a great addition for fitters and it works well for the people that get fit. Now if the buyer starts monkeying with it, all bets are off IMO. I have thought about going to A6 but never made the change without the time to really test it.

The Cobra DS Adapt X beat out my Rogue ST Max LS driver that I have had several years, it is longer and the dispersion is straighter for me.

@FF04RDF says:

Agree with James in that if you want this driver and it suits your swing, then get fitted then leave well alone. Can’t help but feel there’s a bit of over engineering though and you can definitely get fitted into a great performing club without that number of very very small adjustments.
