ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. I know I've said this before, likely on this same video, but I cant say enough how much this video helped clarify lag and help increase my swing speed. People, this is one of only a handful of videos where lag is explained correctly.. watch and learn!

  2. Love this video along with your “up, down, and around”. My first move was to break the wrist angle, killing all lag. I’m convinced this casting caused my golfers elbow this summer.

  3. Hey Danny always a good video but I couldn't stop laughing when the towel rapped around your head. I watch all your videos and pick up something to help me everytime.

  4. I have now successfully created lag thanks to this video, but the ball is slicing now just a tad .. my guess is I'm not completing the sequence at the end and letting the club drag forward or not correctly rotating.. I don't think its club face as it initially goes straight and then turns right in a curve.. I think I did see a video you had about correcting this.. I can't seem to find it

  5. very good lesson danny. problem with me is that i am not trusting my swing so everytime when i am about to hit my shot i think about how i should be doing the swing and try to remember how i did hit good shots previously which i can never remenber and of course then i slice, hook, pull etc.
☹. i come down my down swing too quick as well. how can i overcome this and trust my swing?

  6. Hi. Watched video again and heard you say that you start to lag just before the backswing is completed……so every lag motion is different depending on distance…..all I know is that when I lagged correctly my swing felt effortless and my shots were longer…..a great feeling and result….this is everything for me…thanks so much for your clear instruction

  7. Hi Danny. Love these drills….although I play to a single digit I never lagged the club….today I decided after watching your videos to commit to learning the technique . Are you supposed to start down before backswing is completed? How can you tell at which point to begin moving down?

  8. Jaime Boxer I supose it is the feel of the head of the club , as I learned from my first golf teacher, the problem I have is to be consistent on all shots
