Don’t close your clubface at address

Peter Barber immediately noticed that 11-handicapper Martin Kemp was setting up to the golf ball with a closed clubface. This closed clubface will lead to inconsistency and result in Martin struggling to hit straight shots. Peter believes Martin will see the benefits of setting up square to the target in terms of both consistency and accuracy.

ABOUT CALLAWAY KINGS OF DISTANCE

Callaway’s Kings Of Distance is an outstanding annual consumer event that brings between 90-100 golfers to a top UK venue to trial the latest Callaway products – with a distinct emphasis on drivers.

The event, which trended UK-wide on social media in 2018, features eight fun and interactive zones – driver trial and fitting, hybrids and long irons, Peter Barber Shot Centre, short game scoring clinic, Odyssey putting, Callaway tour truck and beat the pro – with golfers split into groups of 12 in order to visit them all.

Several Callaway brand ambassadors also attend the event each year, offering valuable insight into life on tour and providing some handy tips which each golfer can take away with them and apply in their own games.

Every golfer to attend Kings of Distance 2018 received a one-to-one lesson from Ex European Tour pro and current England under 16s coach, Peter Barber. Watch the video to hear Peter’s valuable insights.
