When we’re talking about compressing your irons, we’re talking about hitting your irons solid. And dynamic loft – or lowering your dynamic loft – matters more than anything else when it comes to compressing your irons. In this video I explain exactly what dynamic loft is, how you can check and see what sort of dynamic loft you have, and I teach you how to improve it.

Glenn Watson says:

This issue of loft and compression is something I have learned more about over the last year. I used to think the club head was designed to strike the ball correctly. Its only now that I understand the player has to angle the shaft forward to create better impact and more compression.

Viet Lo says:

Hi Eric, are you hitting with the right hand and just guiding with the left?
I keep thinking of dragging the left hand through impact. It doesn't feel right.

Lynne Godfrey says:

So glad I have discovered you Eric. Fantastic content

Ray Hawkins says:

Bob Lewicki says:

Eric: Another great video (as usual). Since I have been following Martin Chuck for many years, I purchased the Tour Striker Educator a year ago. It has made a big difference in my ball striking. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering getting one. It’s not that expensive and well worth the price. Btw, how about doing a video with Martin Chuck like you did with Chris Ryan? I really like Chris Ryan’ s instruction also and had been following him before I ran across your website. Keep up the great work!
