I, myself keep my feet square and was never taught to open them. Ben hogan was a firm believer in keeping square, and we all know he had some of the best rotation in his body turn through impact.
Hm but this goes against hogan’s principle – basically keep the back foot square to avoid over rotating your hips on the back swing
