HOW TO CHIP AND PITCH IN GOLF – THE 50 YARD PITCH SHOT

This video gives you an easier way to chip and pitch a golf ball. If you struggle to strike your chip and pitch shots and at the same time are unable to get distance control then I hope this video really helps.

This video specifically focuses on that awkward 50 yards pitch shot.

You will learn the set up required for strike, the simple chipping and pitching technique plus solutions to some of the common faults.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Thanks for the lesson. I’m in Australia and with summer approaching the turf starts getting very thin hence lots of bare lies. Any advice on playing off almost hard dirt? I watched you playing on the green but even that would allow you to slide under the ball. Solid dirt is very unforgiving. Love your lessons.

  2. love these vlogs … great coaching, found your site about a week ago and its helping so much ty Danny…I play off 9 so hoping these will get me down a shot or 2 …

  3. Great detailed video. What weight distribution would you recommend? A number of pitching videos talk about 70% of weight on the lead foot but if the sternum is moving forward the ball won't be in the centre of the heels? Regards, Mike Davey Filey GC. (Wish you were closer, I would be booking a lesson)

  4. Thanks Danny. Very helpful. How does this change when you need a longer shot – say 75 to 100 yards. Are we back to a pure iron shot then?

  5. Great video Danny,my biggest fear is this distance for me generally I'll shank this type of shot.Ill be giving this a try on the practice area tomorrow.

  6. Hey Danny, Thank you for this video. I watched it Wednesday morning and I hit a few right before my golf League’s match play Wednesday afternoon. It helped me save par once and birdie a par 5. I won my match. Keep up the good work.

  7. Thank you Danny. I've had a little break this summer and picked up some bad habits. Pretty much all the things you're saying not to do. I tried this one today and it worked exactly as you showed (ok the distance needs work) 🙂

  8. Nice video, would you us this method from 100 yards out or does the method change as you move further from the hole and alternatively do you use this method as you get closer to the green or do you change it? Thanks!
