Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

Bought that exact putter today for a great price even though I was in the market for a new mallet putter. The owner made me a great deal since the mrs needed new shoes also. I tried all of his putters and it was really close between this one and the similar Mizuno mcrafy no4. Its all about feel and confidence.

I tried put nearly every brand of putter today, and ended up getting the Ping Anser PLD 2 in the stealth black. Mine has a line on it, and it felt so much nicer than anything else. My other faves were Evenroll, Mizuno M-Craft, and the Betinardi Queen Bee #6. For a budget putter, the Cleveland line was also very good.

Did you happen to look at the bettinardi bb 1w? Curious if you did since they're very similar

@RivertownCountry10 says:

That's a nice Ping putter, and I play with a Ping but confidence in whatever you have in your hand matters more than anything else.

Putter has such a beautiful feel! Feels like hitting through butter!

@papercutpostman1660 says:

Looks like Cleveland huntington beach series. Milled too! So why spend double the amount?

@Skye_the_toller says:

I bought the Ping mallet with center shaft this summer… at first, really loved it, I improved my distance by 100%… but realized that I have a lot of difficulty with the alignment with the center shaft… may buy the same putter , but with regular shaft position?? To follow!!! because I really love those new putters!

@joekimpton274 says:

Ping putters look cheap to me. I don’t know why maybe that’s just me but I would never in a million years spend £400 on that putter or any putter to be honest.

A premium Potter????????

It’s the Indian not the Arrow

@majen66 says:

i have this putter and absolutely love it! Opt'd for the pistol grip on the ping website which took it to the next level. So easy to control pace letting the face do the work. If you're a handsy putter with a lot of push it may not be for you. but if pendulum is your feel this is a great fit!

@texaspoolshark says:

Rick- try the 2 new putters from LAB. The Link.1 and Mezz. I have been using their DF2.1 (the so-called spaceship on a stick) and absolutely loving it. Would really enjoy your take on their new ones with more conventional shapes.

@xnayca says:

Bought this recently and it feels like butter.

@BobbysMoney640 says:

I had a Scotty Cameron putter and I absolutely loved it but I could never get my distance control right with it. I just got the PLD Tyne 4 and it is the best putter I have ever used in my life and it replaced my Scotty for the top spot in my bag.

@two_toned_rooster says:

I’ve been looking at these lately, I’m a ping putter fan (would fill the rest of the bag too but their equipment doesn’t suit me) and I’ve been wanting a fancier milled putter. Currently I’m playing a Scottsdale anser. I want an anser with an alignment line and a sound slot. Being in Canada, we always get limited releases compared to other countries but imo ping went too far with this one. I fired up my vpn and went to the US ping website and found that they get so many more options with the ping PLD program it’s not even comparable to what we can get. For the first time it drives me to Scotty Cameron because I can at least get an unpainted anser with a lineup line (stock Newport).

@BartmanSA says:

I tried the PLD and the Anser 2D. Couldn’t miss with either. But the 2D had an adjustable grip so I could change the length of the shaft. Amazing! Went with the 2 D. Loving it. PS I didn’t even know there was a price difference until now.

@jepuc.7457 says:

Better than Evenroll right?

@eddiem22_ says:

just copped mine yesterday 🎉

@GregCoconut says:

Bettinardi might be the only mainstream brand that comes close to competing with Scotty in the luxury putter market. I bet these PLD putters are just as good as a SC. But it's all about perception.

@cortes5405 says:

What would make such an Anser PLD better than say the much cheaper Cleveland Huntington Beach series putters?
