Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. Used to play the Balgove course all the time as a kid – mostly between the age of 5-12 when I started to play moreso on the Strathtyrum, Eden and then eventually New Course and Jubilee at St Andrews.

I've lost count of how many times i've played the Balgove. When I was a junior membership to be able to play basicslly all thr courses at St. Andrews minus the old course was absolutely miniscule.

Shame now that i'm in my 20s I sometimes feel priced out of golf. But I should remember there are still courses I can play for a decent price.

  2. Stopped and played here at the weekend on my way up to the Highlands it was ace played a fun round at the little course, went and had a pint in the jigger Inn watching people play the old course, £15 and lots of fun.

  3. The Henry Cotton wedge look liked my old Mizuno one and the Ben Hogan forged 3 iron. Got those secondhand for cheap at a few links shops down in Kent and East Sussex in my nostalgic days

  4. God blind me, this makes me nostalgic. I actually played not too far away from the Old Course and got the 2010 Open shirt. It felt like I passed through a famous pilgrimage or path going to the greatest place to golf in the world.
