The second round of the ISPS HANDA New Zealand Open was dominated by Queenslander Brad Kennedy who fired 9-under 62 to take the halfway lead.

Kiwi hopes are still alive with Ben Campbell and Michael Hendry holding the next two places on the leaderboard. While their highest ranked player in the field, Ryan Fox, rallied to make the cut.
