In this video PGA Golf Professional Rick Shiels heads out to The Marriott Worsley Park Golf & Country Club to try the golf ball that is the best selling golf ball on amazon.

You may expect the best selling ball to be the Titleist Pro V1, TaylorMade TP5 or even the Callaway Chrome soft. However, at the time of filming the Srixon distance is the best selling ball and this made Rick keen to test it.

Will it spin on the greens? Is it durable? It is marketed as a distance ball but can it go further than a Pro V1?

Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

A two iron, wowzer. What are all the clubs in your bag? I like how simple you keep it for a carry bag

Jpgundarun says:

I hit the Distance Srixons when there is a high chance of losing a ball. No point in losing a Z Star or XV straight over a fence or in the water after only one hit. L:OL.

Martin W says:

Been borrowing some clubs of a friend ( started again after a long break) and he uses Strixon ulti soft. And its a really nice ball around the green.

Gregory J Snyder says:

Blah, blah, blah. Ain't buying into it. Just another boy cryin wolf.

Perry Blalock says:

Not sure how long ago this video was posted, but a quick check of the sxrion price on Amazon shows US $35 per dozen… That quite a bit of and increase since your 9 pound price. In fact, it just as much the Pro V1 golf ball

MrBlackbeltkickboxer says:

Started playing golf 2months ago, love it but got a rib injury which is stopping me 🙁

That word DISTANCE is i guess the bigest reason

TheHalo2king says:

Amazon brainwashed you into buying golfballs haha

Ted Zink says:

Lol, I've noticed Rick doesn't skip many off the cart path during the durability process. How a ball survives that test is more relevant (for amateurs) than out of a bunker, since the club isn't supposed to touch the ball on sand explosions.

Chuck Lucas says:

Good review but I think you could the same with a ping pong ball an a broom stick

Jordan Gleave says:

Is any thoughts on the Taylormade TP5 and TP5X practice balls you can get for 29.99 a box at the PGA superstore. Minor diffincies but still 5 piece. Seems like a pretty good deal..

mike riolo says:

Most people need to learn how to hit the ball before worrying about distance. Any ball will go along way if stars allinge
