We got a special one, especially for you lmid to high handicap golfers! Darren is shopping for a new driver and has gone to Golf Performance Project to get fit, he is choosing between the Callaway Ai Smoke Max, Taylormade Qi10 max and the Ping G430 10k max!

Both the Callaway Ai Smoke TD and Ping G430 10k Max are riding some big reviews and raves but which one will a 15.8 handicap choose? If you're a data nerd, we got some of that for you and if you just want to see some swings and hear some golf fitting expertise, this is the video for you.

Darren doesn't have the fastest swing or best contact, just like lots of golfers out there so we are hoping to find him a new driver that can give him more distance and forgiveness as he develops his swing!

Looks like you aren’t even trying to swing it hard

@larrymansfield9393 says:

Stiff flex kinda surprised me with his swing speed

@jt_40_-16 says:

I’m sad there’s no love for the ai smoke. I’m a beginner golfer & I picked up a Ai Smoke Max D just a few days ago. Was averaging 75ish yrds with a top flite club. It was too flexible, very awkward and inconsistent driver. Was also a hand me down from who knows when. Was fitted for the Max D and was instantly nuking balls 200+ consistently.

@philipjacobsen6550 says:

can you tell if you should have stiff or red flex on a driver from your iron numbers? i dont have a driver to test

@peterjackson5809 says:

I must be missing something. I really can’t understand the how a golfer who hits a driver around 200 yards is fitted with a stiff heavy shaft and less than 9 degrees!
Generally, this golfer would be fitted with a regular/ plus with 10.5 degrees

@JRPETE-if9yj says:

Dear Lord, that was brutal… spend your $ on lessons instead.

@NonAbidingDude says:

Sorry, but if I played at least 5 years (judging by his old driver's age) and probably more…and my ball speed was 130. I'd quit. The senior tees aren't for your age group.

Where is this fitter located?

@scubajeeper1 says:

Someone please explain to me why a stiff shaft with that slow of a swing speed.

@ljsb5289 says:

with a speed of 90 why a stiff shaft? Why did you not try a different stiffness, plus or minus?

@LizStrawn-c4o says:

great fitting were are you located

@tigerskone2945 says:

Be better off getting lessons.

@AB-wy7dr says:

He’d probably benefit from a R shaft not S.

@kevinblackburn5703 says:

Just had a fitting and was always a callaway guy but figured while I was looking go try to get fitted and see what happened. Almost from the start callaway ai smoke was so much different than the maverik I was playing it for me was almost unpredictable. High low right left never really got it figured out. But hit them all and ended with the Taylor made Qi 10 and it hit better than the mavrik. Shaft and loft has to fit and it makes the hit off the tee so much more enjoyable.

The G400 was the first 10k moi driver
