Today we're putting the new Callaway AI Smoke through its paces as we put it up against the tried and tested cheating stick, the Ping G430 Max. The AI face is supposed to deliver up to 12 yards extra distance on off centre hits, but does it actually work?

Gimmicky nonsense
No difference at all. I understand you need to promote it (or you won't be sent it). But there is basically a 1 yard gain. I play with a scratch golfer who plays a Honma TW747 and he out drives the Paradym and Stealth 2. Drivers are not comparable when you play with a big hitter. DeChambeau is hitting a 5 year old driver further than any tour player with brand new equipment.
With that upward attack angle on the callaway you can afford to knock the spin down and get even more juice out of it. Spin around 2200 on those same shots get them all to 300 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 definitely beats the chicken stick

Every video I've seen on this (I haven't seen them all yet) are averaging 2 yards more off the tee than their everyday. Not for me.
