The AP3 seems like it’ll phase out the AP1
Those are nice Rick… I'm currently have AP1 in my bag now and I'm glad there for my style… but I will check those out as well…
I currently play with these irons and they are awesome all the distance I want and forgiveness as an 18 handicapper who doesn't always hit the middle of the club,just outstanding looking as well.
Hmmm ap3 or jpx 919 hm or ping i500 ? Please guys give me your personal opinion im an 15 handicapper. I really want to try graphite shaft so was leaning a bit on jpx hm. Help a guy out
For a 68 year old who lost about 10 to 12 yards in distance a few years back these may be perfect. LOVED my Zevo oversize comp equip irons for many years but replaced with Ping G10 irons hoping to gain distance. Did not!!! Never liked the clunkier, heavier, wide soled G10's and have thoughts of going back to my Old Zevos. After watching this video I'm going to test out the AP3's as they may be more suited to my needs. I don't need help w/ ball striking or getting the ball in the air and hate wide soles. I'd like to get my yardage back. Hoping AP3's will do the trick plus my nickname is "Ap" for short.
Only problem with AP-3 in Canada ??. They were only available with the AMT Black shaft (Very Stiff and very Heavy) so not even a viable option for a comparison test.

I’m in my mid 40’s and I don’t see myself as a better player. I broke 90 last year but will probably not break 80.
My swing speed is moderate and I hit the 7 iron around 130m/140y. I chose True Temper AMT Red Regular shaft because I like it’s lightness and high ball flight. Used to play TaylorMade’s game improvement irons like RSi 1 and Burner 2.0 but I learned to hate the strong lofts, heavy weights and clumpiness of a game improvement iron. With AP3 I can even launch the 4 iron from the turf without any difficulties. With TaylorMade I couldn’t even get decent shots with my 5 iron…

Got fitted and it came down to AP3 vs Mizuno MP18. Had to go with AP3. Shots that find the center of the face have a very soft and familiar "sweet spot" feel that I couldn't resist. Even shots that miss the center of the face carry well and on-target. I needed an iron that was one step down from a true players iron and these were them. Love 'em!
