first of all its not design for golfers with a 105 mph swing speed… end of story.

@UserUser14880 says:

Too snooty of a review for me to get past 1min with such an annoying voice 🤦‍♂️

@BradleyElliott-w8j says:

We all don’t enjoy your level of excellence with a golf club ,, I’m 63 and have had multiple back surgeries ,, I love these things ,, I know how far everyone of them goes and they have put the love of golf back in my heart ,, I filled out the bottom with extra wedges and voila back to 8 handicap golf

@art333-dg8dd says:

I EVEN THINK THAT THEY ARE CHINESE CRAP I HATE THEM SO MUCH

@jjgalletta66 says:

Bought mine this morning, played a quick 9 holes. Dropped 11 strokes from my last round at the same course. Hit every fairway and green. I cannot recommend these clubs more. 👍

@art333-dg8dd says:

what ever you do try them before you buy

@art333-dg8dd says:

i bought them without trying them . what a mistake. worst irons i ever own and will try to trade them in asap.

@martymontry4086 says:

Just have to get used to them…by playing them, or going to the cage…love mine, and playing lights out with them dropped from 9.1 to a 6.2 in two months…but did change the shafts to dynamic gold vss 95 R pro, vibration dampening, and are solid performers, love the wedges, very consistent yardage lengths.

@cyberbogart says:

Damn, those are regular loft G430s…..I ordered the Power Spec loft which delofts them a tad more. My short game is fucked.

@VaskoGame says:

Looking at picking up a set that are currently on clearence 😊

@jasondull557 says:

I’m pretty fast (92-95mph 7i) but launch the ball very high and spin it tons. I bagged the i530s and they’re ridiculously long. However they give me the ability to hit a huge variety of shots. I can hit chippy spinny cuts that carry 150ish(7i) or I can sling a draw that will run out to 200. My “stock” 7i swing is around 173-176 carry with 110-115 peak height spinning mid to high 5000s. If I hit an old school 7 iron I’d launch it 140 feet high spinning at 9000. That’s not a very useful shot profile.

@EatMe-b7r says:

Fitted clubs are standard loft standard shaft and standard grip lol.

@rickymundy8663 says:

Simon great video, I bought G430 irons with power spec back in July 2024. I was fitted with a blue dot. I’m 5’9” and wrist to floor of 32.750 “. I have struggled to hit these irons. Ping has increased the standard length from the old Ping specs. I had 1/2” taken off my 4,5,and 6 iron plus having the lie change to standard loft. I still struggle to hit consistent shots. Prior to getting the G430’s I was playing with Ping Rapture irons black dot. I hit these irons constantly good. After getting the 430 iron I kept changing my swing until everything I hit was bad. I had been very consistent and long with my G430 woods which I purchased a year earlier. It got so bad I went back and started playing with my old Rapture irons. Finally my game turned around and improved. The only reason I upgraded to G430 is because I’m 65 and lost a lot of distance and figured I could get some back with the newer irons. So after some a lot of reading up I decided I wish I could try a set of Ping irons that are red dot. I bought full set of Ping Rapture version 2. These irons are red dot with regular flex graphite shafts. I’ve played with these over a month and hit these irons extremely well. So I’ve order new G430 red dot with
Regular CB CB ALTA shaft. I have found that hitting solely of the plastic board measuring system is not totally reliable for proper fitting. If you’ve ever hit off these carpeted surfaces it’s hard to tell if you hit a fat shots because the clubs bounce off the carpet. I googled my thoughts found a great article addressing this in GOLF DIGEST. There article confirmed my thoughts. If you get fitted indoors that you also need to find a grass tee to make sure these clubs fit your need. If the clubs are to long or the lie is not correct fat shots typically could be an issue while testing off grass. After going to grass if the fit isn’t right the fat shots will show up. Great comments about the G430’s being extremely longer than standard. Because of this I’ve ordered my new irons with stand spec. Ping also offers a RETRO SPEC which the old standard loft which is the old standard loft that all clubs had in old days. These G430 really are very forgiving clubs. When I did hit good shots with my G430’s the ball jumped off the club. I’m getting my distance back from years ago. Apologize for such long article. I hope it can help someone.

@jergernice1 says:

i have these irons, but it is very annoying the naming of the clubs. they should have named the 45 the pw then down like a normal strong lofted set.

@clarkmiller8532 says:

For me….its swing speed….i played a lot in my younger yrs and had a fast swing speed….now that im 42 my speed has slowed way down so these irons are great…love them…I find I don’t have to try and “kill it” when I swing which typically cost me accuracy

@claytonhatfield7452 says:

Just club down and have a better ball flight coming into the greens…

@benmatthew2011 says:

People get far to strung up on the number on the club, I have 2 x 4 irons, i230 @ 22.5 and a G430 @ 18 (power spec), the G430 just worked better for me than the icrossover, U505, Cally UT etc. Says 4 on it but we all no it's a 2, but does that really matter?

@bobbo857 says:

I had G400’s as an athletic beginner with stock stiff shafts. I could hit my 7i about 227 when I connected with it right. On course I would typically use it as a 190-200yd club mainly because the shaft was way too soft for me and, because I wasn’t good enough to really go for it with any consistency.

The point here is these clubs are major trade offs. What you gain in distance and height, you lose in spin, as such your consistency drops precipitously. Don’t get me wrong, for the type of player these clubs are targeting, they’re great. Average swing speed, can’t middle your strike consistently, just wants to play golf and look respectable enough doing so. The weighting, loft, and size of the clubs are perfect for that player. For the set shown on this specific build, these are absolutely the wrong clubs long term for that player. Retro spec would have been better but it’s hard for a fitter to convince a new player that they shouldn’t try to chase distance since literally every advertisement is all about distance.

@NorthernIrelandBob says:

And the point is 🤷‍♂️

@kourt2469 says:

Don't understand the hate. Even dechambeaus pw is 40 degrees. I play off +5, played in college and have no issue with strike and i game these irons. Fast swing speed, 122 mph driver, and no issues gaming these. I love the added height and reduced spin. Im slightly on the steeper side so these fit me perfect.

@Theyorkshirepirlo says:

I got custom fitted for G430’s around a year ago. I saw an immediate improvement in my game going from a 30 handicap I knocked 6 shots off my average round first time out then two more on the second outing. Now a year later I’m playing off a 17.9 and still falling handicap,my current average round is 14-16 over. I’ve also added an average of 30 yards per club over the year. I couldn’t recommend them more

@mslu62 says:

Ping g's. Inserts fell out of most irons. Buyer beware. Complete garbage

@Hunter-zp5hd says:

Maybe they just quit playing or got injured.

@PopPopJ says:

I have to say thank you for making this video. I’ve been considering on buying another set of pings. My father gave me his old set of i3s four years ago. So I’m looking to get a new set this year and I was debating on what to get. I’m definitely stuck on ping.

@terrypeeples1942 says:

This review is a joke! I own a set of G430 irons, driver, 3 wood and 4 and 5 hybrids. They are outstanding set of clubs.

@jwilder2251 says:

The 29 deg 7 iron isn’t that crazy, but it’s the 41 deg PW that’s ludicrous. I play Cobra GI irons and they space them at 5 deg apart, makes the bottom of the bag much more reasonable

@dt2939 says:

I don’t care if it says 41 degrees, pitching wedge or 9 iron on it, these are very forgiving clubs and I’ve been playing 3x a week after I got them. I couldn’t care less what Sam Sneads pitching wedge was lofted at. You need to Know the distance you can hit for your clubs and your swing.

As a long time amateur and lover of data and accountability in my game and swing, the reason the guy traded those clubs in is because he thought the stuff shafts were pretty and it sucked for his 65 mph swing.

@AegirWcom says:

I hit them today, did not work for me. I bought Cobra dark speed in the end.
