Handicap isn’t everything I play with guys who hit Driver & Irons way better than me but they can’t chip and 3 putt all day so normally we tie or I beat
them by one. I usually putt like 32 for round which is lees than 2 per hole
I think the G430 looks better
Alot of youtubers especially the Brits talk about sound and feel so much, but 99 percent of golfers(the mass majority) could care less about that. When you hit one in the sweet spot they all feel good. The mass wants clubs they can score with, sound means nothing. I play in 3 different golf leagues and there are hundreds of players, I always ask about sound and feel and most players never give it any thought.
I currently use G400’s I might change at the end of the year and both of these are under consideration. I play off 17.
It seems to me the shaft used in each of these iron models plays a big part in the comparison. When getting fitted, I pay just as much attention to how the shaft performs as the head of the club. You can hit on a launch monitor and see the significant differences in how the club performs utilizing different shafts by looking at the data (distance, spin, height, etc. What I have found that the best performing club head and shaft combination, isn't always the winning combination since how the club feels when you strike the ball counts for a lot. So, I think that comparisons like this should also identify the characteristics of the shaft. Am I wrong here?

I don’t know why people assign handicap ranges to Irons. Let’s face it you can be a good ball striker and go up 6-8 strokes with bad chipping and putting or be a bad ball striker and go down 6-8 with a great short game. My bottom line for clubs is how straight do you hit it and what help do you need with that
