Great decision. I demo the S55 and really liked them. Playing MP4, which
I feel is a little more accurate and feels softer (I can feel slight
mishits). S55’s, I don’t get as much feedback than MP4. I would certainly
play the S55 over all other clubs other than my MP4! I love the looks of
the S55 and the loft settings. Can you review the Ping Rapture D.I.? I
just hit with it, and I really want to put it in the bag! It’s much more
accurate than a hybrid for short par 4’s and long par 3’s (hybrids are not
even close to accurate here). The control of the driving iron in both
shape and distance makes it a go to club over a hybrid any day, even if
losing 15-20 yards.

Rick just wondering why do you have the ball so far forward in your stance
or is that the camera angle?
I’m an S56 player (4 handicap), and currently looking at S55’s or the new
Taylor Made ‘Tour Preferred MB’. I just fancy a new ‘shiny’ set, and
thinking that they sound so similar that i should stick to S56 and only
change if the MB’s take my fancy.
Waiting for my pro to get them in 🙂

After playing Mizuno for over the last 7 years, ive now moved to the S55,
all i can say PING have done an awesome job on these. Great Review.
Too bad you did not use 5 irons in your comparison Rick, because the loft
is the same for both irons.
Why not just tweak your current set?
