  1. Great video again. I can only image someone standing beside the building and seeing all the different sports equipment being thrown out the door. I’m sure they would wonder what is going on lol

  2. Wow Shawn. This could be one of your best videos ever. You are in the zone!! I love the Ulna and Radius alignment and presenting the anatomy properly. No excuses for poor lag after this video.

  3. Thanks for another great video. I now realize that when I was a teen and in my twenties, I unknowingly swung with your method, but I failed to turn the club in my hands to avoid hitting it to the right. To compensate, I’d align to the left instead. Now at 54, I’ve lost the swing of my youth but finally understand what it was and look forward toward working to get it back!

  4. Hey Shawn, I've been following your videos for about a year. Hitting everything longer and feels much more comfortable. I recently was able to get on a launch monitor (GC Quad) and with the set up you describe in this video, I have a slightly ascending strike. Any thoughts on why and how to move to a descending angle of attack?

  5. Shawn, this is JK from your old RH winter practice sessions. Have had some great ball striking rounds so was plannnig to post a comment, and another excellent video is the perfect spot. Strengthening my grip even more this year, and I'm hitting it further than ever. My playing partners are amazed at how far I hit my clubs with an "easy swing". For me, with the even stronger grip, my mind knows that I can hold the lag without fear of the club face being dynamically open. I can hold the lag, and "collect and release" the ball. Crushing my driver and irons, especially with draws. And the draws are gentle draws. You give all your students a great understanding of the key fundamentals, and watching your videos regularly just deepens my understanding.

  6. Timely video! I just came in from a very interesting session on the range. Since I switched to the stronger grip and it made my contact more consistent, I’ve started having fairly predictable distances for my irons, with wedges similarly spaced shorter. While there were still mis-hits, the ones with good contact ranged 95 to 135 for 9i to 5i. Today, though, the good contacts were at least 2 clubs longer. I was mystified until I noticed my hips were turning better on the longer shots. Once I noticed, I learned I can’t always create that, but apparently being conscious of it somehow positively reinforced whatever caused it, because it started happening more frequently. My only goal today was to get the squat on the lead leg to start the downswing. I don’t know if that somehow triggered the better hip turn or not. Anyway, I think I’ll try to reinforce this with the mat and whiffle balls. Then I need to get it to happen with hybrids and driver!! Thanks again for these videos!

  7. Love your videos! I tried this and hit the ball much better, the second time I tried my lower back got very sore. Was I doing something wrong or is my 63 year old back not able to swing with side tilt? Can't wait for the next videos.

  8. WOW! Great instruction video! You mentioned something that I will
Change immediately! I’ve been playing w a weaker grip ALL THIS TIME! I hit a few balls in the cage—omg! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Can’t wait to hit some balls on the range to dial it in!
