I recently bought (May 2025) Rouge ST Max. Hands down the best driver I've ever hit!
Jay Robinson, I agree I took my Callaway elite back to Golf Mart and I am still playing my rogue max LS plenty of distance
I just bought a new Rouge ST max it’s the longest straightest driver I’ve ever owned. I replaced my Ping 430 max 10k.
Just picked up a “like new” Rouge ST Max from CPO, so far it’s been amazing and it was only $200.
I have the Rogue Max LS ( bought 2 years ago from Callaway preowned) and The Ai Smoke Max that I just bought. I like the Rogue, but I’m trying the Ai Smoke for the next few weeks. Looking for a bit more forgiveness because I hit it all over the face.
Ive was thinking of buying one this week, but I saw someone write that noticed something, the 2023 modell st max dont have jailbreak written on the back while the 2022 model has. They even called the 2023 model a sneak model and that 2022 is much better??
Can anyone explain this too me and is that true ?
I don't think you can Compare those final 2 drives on the 18th. Different direction and ultimately flight shape
The final 5 seconds had MASSIVE Jeremy Clarkson vibes
I had the XXOI 9.5 fix head, shaft was 48g stiff, 5yr old , shaft broke, still got the head,( not sure if I should keep it still),
anyway, won the LD with it. 310m, last year, rolled onto the green while the group in front was still putting. won the longest drive 3 years in a row with it.
picked up an epic max LS, new from J pan. was a bit heavy at 55g S, so I dropped a 50g S in it, went well, more forgiving I think. but still doesn't go the distance.
last week I won with the epic but that was only 260m.
I'm looking at upgrading but not sure what to try yet but it has to be longer than the Epic. I am looking at the smoke Trip/D LS, also QI10 , not really sure, I'm open to try others. but all last years models, not current. In Aust an new one is up to a nose bleeding $1200$$$$.
How does a club become obsolete? I know a bunch of golfers who are still using Big Bertha 460 drivers and others using the old TaylorMade Burners as well as other older drivers that don't seem to be obsolete.
Just picked up the st max in golf clubs for cash for £220 in great condition. Did have a dynapower but needed more consistency
James tilt a little more. Your shoulders are slightly open. That would cause the left miss and the cut. To get your righ5 hand below your left hand you have 2 choices. Open your shoulder or tilt back. I have found the tilt is easier to control.
I want to like the Max LS. But there’s something about the design, the face it a bit darker and it looks like there’s no loft. I just don’t hit it nearly as good as the Ai smoke. Great driver though if you can swing it.
I think we are getting to the stage where equipment is starting to plateau. It's probably been happening for a few years. There is not much difference between the newest stuff and say 2020 even and I say save yourself for money if you're not a pro and that 5 m or 10 yards is really not gonna kill your golf game that's one less sign into a green and it's really I don't think that's gonna make a huge difference. I have the rogue max as well and while it's very forgiving I am looking at the low spin model interestingly enough I fade the ball and you're probably thinking why would I go for a low spin? Well I definitely think I can handle it and it would be interesting experiment I can actually buy the head secondhand and just pop the shafts out. I've got a shaft that I like so it's not a problem.
I am using a 2023 Paradym triple diamond 10.5 that I purchased used with a Brava BGT regular flex shaft and I paid $300 US for it about a year ago, I must say that I do not see a big difference in the AI Smoke triple Dia. and the 2023 Paradym triple Dia. is so much like the Rogue ST Max LS if someone is looking for bargain, the choice is 3 fold not 2…Hit em straight James, you do great VIdeos! They are well-planned and show exactly what your subscribers need to know…Kudos Mr Robinson!
But I also don't think about what something costs…..ever
….I dont pay green fees. It's called a private country club dude, join one
Just past the 150………dude……go to the gym…..you're hitting less distance than a female swinging a 5 iron, it's embarrassing
Love my Rogue Driver. Wouldn’t change it. It’s just good!!!
I couldn’t get on with the rogue ST. I use an ai smoke, but the best I’ve used from Callaway is the GBB alpha 816 TD or the epic flash sub zero. Both of those I miss
I have both. Rogue LS Max for the win. Goes significantly further. Ordered one w a blue AD shaft = 🔥👏🏽🐺
I played two years with my Rogue ST max, just traded it in yesterday for the ….drumroll…..Cobra…tried the AI Max D (and others)…for me I need a little more apex…about half the price…please see a fitter who know much more than you and other products…they aren't paying you to play their club. Btw, no knock on James, but so much difference in shafts as well…rare do these guys show the huge difference in shafts…Shafts are built for you and can make a huge difference in performance.
My driver, 3 wood, and hybrid are Maverick. I like them. I do feel like the 3 wood is a little "light". I've thought about putting a small piece of lead tape on it to add a little heft.
The rogue max is still in my bag, the best sounding and the most forgiving driver I've ever hit.
I still have the Rogue st Max LS in my bag, that high toe shot is the one that just flies on that driver. I currently have a Paradym AI Smoke TD Max on the way, it will be interesting to see how the two compare. I tried the Rogue TD, it was great in the simulator but not so good on the course for me, just wasn't forgiving enough.
I borrowed Callaway XR and hit numerous 285-300+ drives! Crazy driver. I just bought it (used) for $140.00
Just picked up the Tour Authentic Rogue ST 💎 💎 💎 S. I can't wait for some warmer weather!
I still game the epic flash SZ.
2nd swing just did a video reviewing it to the AI smoke, similar numbers.
Makes you wonder if new drivers are basically marketing & hype
In an age of "you must have a fitting", buying second hand poses a question…
You go to a second hand outlet find a head that you want,
but what about the shaft? Is the shaft that is in the second hand driver going to be right for you.?
Do they do fittings at the second hand stores.?
Can you test the club before you buy it.?
I've gone back to the Original SIM max after a string of Callaway drivers👌
