TaylorMade P760 Iron Fitting + Review | Golf Monthly

►Joel Tadman gets fitted for the new TaylorMade P760 Irons and delivers his verdict on their performance.

► Note – in our review video, we relay some information from TaylorMade about the stock shaft length being 0.25 inches longer than other P700 series irons. TaylorMade has since told us this is not the case, and the stock shaft length across all the P700 irons is the same. Apologies for any confusion.

Another point to note is that in this case we were using range balls, which has skewed the data in terms of comparing it to other reviews we've done in our usual testing environment at Foresight Sports HQ using premium golf balls. This was more a like for like test of P760 against the iron we currently play.

  2. Should have got fitted for some mizuno instead… The new 919 range is over £300 a set cheaper and are better in every way… Hopefully you got these as a freebie because the price of these is just another fine example of TM corporate greed £1300 for 7 irons…. Wow that's just theft.

  3. £1300 pounds for these is laughable. I dont think this will make me any better player.
Perhaps if people started boycotting some off the expensive manufacturers they would see what they are doing to golf prices. I bet one of those irons cost about £10 to make.
Cant believe you were fitted for x100 shafts, Dustin uses them and swings far more quicker and more powerful.

  4. Can't say that these new TM's are ascetically pleasing to my eye, the ridges in the rear of the club look rather fussy and tacky at the same time. If I was in the market for new Irons, I would look at the new Mizuno JPX and Srixon Z Irons which both look visually stunning and save myself £500!!!!!!!
