How can you learn to swing a golf club without having to think about too many things?

I woke up to this in my inbox:

“That was the most amazing golf lesson – exactly what I needed. You mention all the time that we should keep the golf swing simple but I never really believed it fully…you have no idea the impact this golf lesson has had on my game. I'm so grateful for you and your time!!”

Whoa! how nice is that…

I absolutely love helping golfers find their golf swings. Getting feedback that they are finding the game so much easier and having much more fun on the golf course is why I do what I do. You see over the years the golf swing has been chopped up and dissected into so many pieces it can sometime feel like it will take forever to learn.

But don't believe that. This is the old school way.

The new school way is to learn your swing. We are all built differently, different shapes and sizes, different levels of strength and flexibility. Should we all swing it the same way?

Take a look at the the hottest golfers in the world right now. Dustin Johnson, Mathew Wolff, Victor Hofland. They have chosen to adopt the new school way. They have chosen to find a golf swing that works for them rather than fit into a model that someone has designed.

In this weeks golf lesson I give you an amazing golf drill that will truly help you strike the golf ball so much better, hit driver straight…but more importantly it won't require you to remember a check list of to do's before every shot. If you have questions like How do I hit a golf ball with an Iron? How can I learn to strike my irons pure every time? How do I stop hitting the ground behind the golf ball? How to hit driver straight?

I you like the golf lesson with my compliments you can download the PDF lesson summary and step by step practice plan. Great to take to your next driving range session: Download it for free here: ⛳️

Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website ( I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumbleI’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Gary Alpern says:

VERY well said!

Ian lee Castilla says:

Good day sir. Do you do 9nline coaching? How much is rate per month. I'm from southern Philippines. Thank and hope to hear from u soon

Vicki Jock says:

Have been slicing the ball really bad. Dropping my right shoulder is another problem. After watching this video once. I went to the driving range and practiced his principles. I hit 64 balls in a row (missed 2) This gave me more yardage and hit them straight. P. S. I'm a 72 yr. Old woman. I was very frustrated with my game but I think this is really going to make the turning point difference in my scoring. I'm glad I watched, I'm glad I applied, and I'm looking forward to Great improvement! Thank you ever so much for this video! Vicki from Richmond

Blue Dun says:

Thanks, I look a little silly on the range warming up but my swing is so much more relaxed than it has been. Cheers.

Made a massive difference, thankyou.

Kyle Ewing says:

Great advice. I can now hit off the toe much for fluid and slice 100 yards further!

Alder Tonewood says:

I have to say Danny; for all the videos I’ve watched (countless)… this one changed my game and FINALLY straightened my drive, which went from 180-200 (with fades, pulls and slices) to 240-260 straight down the fairway. Of course I’ll have to keep practicing to increase my consistency and hopefully distance, but nothing beats a clean drive out onto the middle of the fairway! Woohoo!!! I wish i could actually go to where you are and get direct lessons… Thanks ? ? for choosing to be an instructor and making this video (next… putting ???).

perrych2012 says:

This is really working for me as well. The more I hit it fat the stiller I tried to stay – now I just swing ('centrifugal force is your friend' – if it wasn't so long I'd have that as a tattoo) and the ball is going so much straighter. Thank you.

Elliot Hall says:

“Shocking strike” …. Dead straight ??

골미남 Golf MiNam says:

i m going to take a good look!!!! thx for make this vdo !!

Robert Sturgess says:

This is the video I watch before every range session. I’ve gone from 100+ scoring to breaking 90, and I’m sure the progress will continue. Anyway, are you keeping a wait list for your women’s beginner course? Ive become so excited about golf, my wife wants to start.

Scott Slesinger says:

This was working great; I had my two best rounds ending with 5 pars in a row ( I am a 20). Then I lost it. My partner said my hips were not in sync. Sometimes my hips went first and the ball went left others they were slow and he ball went right. What should I do? Which video should I look at? Thanks.

Sharkey924 says:

I just recently got back into Golf and I'm addicted again. but now I really need to relearn my swing. I started off with what I felt comfortable with and notice my ball was going straight but when I switched to the lower irons…like from 9 iron to a 7 iron…My ball was simply going the same distance. Watching this video makes me want to just start all over again and relearn to swing naturally and not try to control my swing too much. Thanks Danny !

Jesse says:

I think this is the best golf video out there for people who need to build a nice swing. Cheers Danny

Glenn Ferguson says:

Count to 5 in your head from start of swing to end of swing should give you rhythm and flow

Rickie4 says:

You're definitely right about this One thing that I've noticed is letting my hips turn and not restricting them from turning

Robert Knowles says:

Hi Danny Ive watched this lesson a few times. The thing that's working for me is (sounds strange),but I can feel the club head and not just my hands.Again your passport message ."LET IT GO".

j h says:

In order to gain control…you have to give up control. -George Knudson

Great video Danny!

adri vreeke says:

So backswing hands high follow true hands high one second swing you cannot manupilate

Pete Nesshead says:

Dustin said something in a press conference that could be seen as flippant but i actually saw he was serious and it made me realise something that could block my swing with my mind.
He was asked about practice swings and working his shot out and this and that and he said that there wasn’t really anything to think about, he said the shot will either be good or bad. Nothing to really analyse about that.

Kevin Murphy says:

Free flow- lose the robot – excellent – just excellent ?

J P says:

Most helpful video i have watched, i get in my head and everything goes, then i give up and start to hit some cleaner balls. Now I am hooked

John Crow says:

this im going to try i like simple motions
