Here I experiment with hitting the Titleist 915 D3 Driver off the deck against the TaylorMade AeroBurner 3-Wood analysing the shots using the FlightScope X2 launch monitor. Enjoy 🙂

Thanks for the follow up. This is sort of what I suspected to be honest. I
hit the occasional driver off the deck, but mostly when I am having a head
off moment on the course, or am trying to show off a bit haha. The clear
choice is the 3 wood

Good insight Pete thanks! May give the Aeroburner 3 wood a try myself at
the range? Cheers.
Thanks for that video Pete. Very insightful!
At my club when winter mats are in use some people bend them to tee the
ball up then use driver!
Excellent video Peter, as usual.
I did kind of expect it to be this way although the very long roll can be
am interesting tool… Especially if your name is Bubba Watson and you’re
going for driver, driver (with a ridiculous fade), putt for eagle…
Cheers mate!

Hello Peter, great video. Was curious is there ever a time to actually use
a driver from the deck or is simply just a proof of concept. Something to
be done because you can? Keep up the good work!!!
Hi Peter, great video. Do you know what the average peak heights were for
each club? Interested to know if you’d use the driver into a very strong
headwind? Cheers!
The old small head drivers that are like fairway woods are much easier to
hit off the deck
Does your 3 wood land in the trees at the back of the range then? as the
range isn’t massive is it but it is quite uphill.
The sexiest swing on you tube. Could watch it all day.
The title alone…must watch all of this.
What happens when you want a lower flight with the 3 wood. The flight of
the ball looked lower with the Driver and would you get the same roll out
with the 3 wood
So why would you ever want to hit a driver off the deck? I´m curious.
Monday night Golf Show?
awesome!
Pete, did you lose your comb?
