Good video, thanks! Just a few comments that may help others, as I've been researching and experimenting a lot with nets lately as I'm trying to determine the best for my use.
1) If you're not using a launch monitor, then you can obviously position your mat as close as you need to in order to prevent shots from missing the net
2) If you're using a radar based LM (Garmin, MLM, etc.), I probably wouldn't use this particular net. The SPG-8 should offer enough protection but I wouldn't risk it with the 7.
3) One of the reasons I'm looking at a camera based LM is so that I can hit closer to the net to avoid issues with ball missing the net. However, that also comes at a MUCH higher price.
4) If you're looking at using a net like this in more a permanent setting (like me), then you can get some extra netting to install on the sides and even top to provide more protection. I'm thinking about doing this in my garage. Obviously, if using this outside like in this video, that isn't feasible.

I used to have the large 3m x 3m Heavy Duty cage which was by far the safest option for a built up outdoor use however, due to the fact it had to stay up, I ended up selling that and opting for the forb pop up cage, which has been great, although it would be a game changer if forb did an 'XL' version, ideally measuring 10ft square, this would be the ultimate pop up cage/Net for anyone.

I liked the video it gives a personal perspective and shows legitimate points of difference between the two nets. I would add it looks to me the lady missing the net is using the 5×5 version not the 7×7. Thank you for the review.

Do you trust Forb Net to be safe for practicing driver shots?

@Huntgolfride says:

I have the 8 foot model of the spornia and live in the country with no neighbors. I do live in the woods though and although I got the shank net, it has only stopped a couple. Ive lost many balls that slipped, through, over, and under it and lost in the nearby woods. I use a good launch monitor so I practice with good balls to get actual spin rates etc, so that isn't a safety issue, but it is a budget issue. The other thing ive experienced is that it tends to just flop over to the side and collapse when any breeze starts kicking up. To combat that I have to use the tent strings to put tension on it which made set up a pain. I bought a few sand bags and use them but they can slide and not work. The net is well made, but I hate taking it down and putting it back up every time and so I think ill be going to a more permanent square net like the other one you featured.

Great video review. I was thinking about buying one with the turf mat for $439. The thing I was stopping me was the possibility of shrinking one or anyone over the net. I don’t have the room outside my house to afford to Shank a shot. I’m definitely hesitant to buy one now.

@luminalarc887 says:

It's not $499 in the U.S. That's for the 8×8 model, not the 7×7. We just paid $261 w/ 10% off.

@GolfGuyReviews

Thank you for this Video. How long does it take to set Up the Forbes Cage now, afer you used IT a quite long time. Does it still meet your expectations?

@Twisited says:

she didn't have the net set up correctly and too far from the net

@Ryan_Rothford says:

It looks like she may be using the sg5 net? I could be wrong. Nice video!

@dub-golf says:

Spornia net is the best for practice. So easy to set up and tear down. If you are looking to transport and set up weekly. Spornis is the way to go. Nice video!
