The HL feel a little more harsh than the regular version. Would be great if the high launch version felt a bit softer. I ordered the apex ai300 based on the softer feel. Looking forward to getting them!
Am I the only person who realizes he hit the AI smoke the same distance as the AI Smoke HL? If the carry is the same, definitely go with higher and more spin.

All the used , early years made, built clubs irons in golfs…I do missed so many of it, now, are the times, do recap for it …..soon ….
All marketing now in golf with a 30 degree reconsidered high launch. Id say every golfer needs help with launch and dosent help when manufacturers are turning 7 irons into 5 irons. Golf equipment is so expensive with players wondering why they cant hit there irons as good as before because of strong lofts. Also very little difference in yardage between irons with 4 wedges now required. All marketing tools for money. 😮
Would you recommend getting a mix of both irons? 7 through PW, I can get in the air but I have trouble getting 4, 5, and 6 in the air. Would it be better for me to do 7 through PW as AI Smoke and then 4 to 6 as AI Smoke HL?
Was using Wilson Dyna Power now using Ai smoke max fast, after 2 rounds found that I have the same distance with more height. I am 79 years old and would advise folks like me to give them a try. 18 holes 88
