The PGM clone is like $40 on aliexpress.

Terrible review

@BrianPex says:

Why is this so much more than the Skilz model?

@CoachJohnMcGuirk says:

What kind of distance do you get with it?

@britdunn8955 says:

I bought one this week and it makes a world difference!!! My drives drastically improved. I was able to really show off the swing speed with confidence going over 290-315 yardage consistently and accurately.

@WiscoLewis says:

I have a knockoff version that has a grip trainer on it as well.

@jonwright8236 says:

@mercytoday says:

This works!!! I just shot a 78 today.

@ampecsu says:

goodwill, 5 bucks, nothing to lose…

@troym1849 says:

The grip is intended to last the life of the aid. If they were to put a premium grip on the aid it would need to be replaced as often if not more often than your club grips.

@johngendron1433 says:

Try it choked down one handed. You'll find out quick if your off plane, it pulls you over. One hundred reps…ooofff.

Bought my orange whip a while back convinced, thanks to all the hype, it would radically change/improve my golf….all this blurb about it being a good warmup tool doesn’t really do it for me….so you’re now on the 1st tee all warmed up having had a few practice swings with the whip….so what? you’ve now got yr driver ready to pound the ball into oblivion but hello….feels a bit, actually, quite a bit lighter than this ‘magic wand’ you were led to believe would totally transform yr game…end result sees yr opening drive end up goodness knows where & you suddenly hit with the realisation that, just like the hundreds of other so called golfing aids, the Orange Whip is not the answer to the golfing equivalent of the Holy Grail….believe me, it DOES NOT improve yr golf…I have yet to come across any owner of this device who, hand on heart, can say since using it their handicap has plummeted….

@maxsmart8954 says:

I saw several senior tour players with one in their bags. Must help flexibility for mature golfers.

@NinaHarvey-wk7ei says:

Are you paid for pushing this ????

@Patrik.Pereira says:

13 dollars on temu

@kurtheitman552 says:

When I watch the pros on
TV, I see this in their bags quite frequently. That should tell you something.

@ChristopherDowning says:

Don’t buy a clone. I have friends who have way cheaper versions of this – they are just not the same – balance different – no counterweight – can’t change the grip – the shaft bends wrongly – why bother?

This is an exercise I do every day at 77 years by old along with some dumbbells. Great way to not only stay fit but also maintain good swing mechanics. Get yourself a 1” rope one yard long to do the last part of swing training at home. Dumbbells, rope, and mid sized orange whip – it’s all I need to stay fit and play well.

I bought a similar swing trainer device and I absolutely love it. I introduced to many of my golfer friends who need better tempo and need to use their legs and body. Like you said, it forces you to have good tempo because of its flexibility. The heavy ball at the end really emphasizes feeling the clubhead instead of swinging the club like a baseball bat. My only regret is I didn't get it sooner.

@PJo336 says:

Random q, what stand bag do you have that fits this? My jones r trouper barely fits 14 clubs let alone training aids and alignment sticks. Looking for an upgrade

@georgesealy4706 says:

I have been using it for years. It helps in several areas. The first thing is that it helps to get the wrists engaged and snapping through the ball. There is definitely a tendency for increased lag, which is a huge distance factor. The trainer model is long and it helps to stretch the shoulder and back muscles. It helps with syncing the legs and upper body, and this helps with balance. My suggestion is to swing the trainer smoothly and in balance every day. Don't try to swing it fast and hard. By staying in balance, swinging smoothly, and using it every day, swing speed will naturally increase. Don't force it, it just happens. The reason is that you will be swinging smoother and better. Your wrists will be looser. Then when you hit balls with your driver try to have the same mental feel and speed as with the trainer. Maybe hit 10 balls and then swing the trainer and then hit balls, etc. So that you can imprint it in your mind. This is not a quick fix. It will take weeks and maybe months to recondition your body, arms, legs, and wrists. It depends on how poor your swing is to start. I highly recommend this trainer to starting junior players. They can get started with proper fundamentals. They can learn how to hit the ball far and well with that nice, easy-looking swing.

the knock offs are darn near the quality. I carry an el cheapo, because I hate wasting money.
