  3. It's funny….

    I have been a Golf Professional all of my life and I consider the Ping G425 to still be a new technology club.

    As for sound, I LOVE that the G425 is loud, I love how it turns heads, sounding like a small explosion !

  4. I’m not sure about “waste of money”.
    They aren’t cheap that’s for sure.
    Here was my situation. I’ve been using my current driver for almost 5 years now, really started to struggle with it late last year.
    Got in the simulator with it and started comparing with the new clubs.
    Ultimately what it boiled down to…my swing speed had slowed down enough that the 75g shaft wasn’t working for me anymore.
    Swapped shafts in the original head and the performance of distance and ball flight compared with a 2024 model is not noticeable enough to spend another 450 bucks.

  7. Ping doesn't put any ribs in their heads. That's why they sound so high pitched and awful. If you hear a more muted sounding driver they either have ribs in the core, have composite parts, or both.

  9. I’m sorry but Ping drivers and those stupid speed bumps are just FUGLY! can’t look down the shaft at something so hideous and like it. Sorry. Now a Titleist TSR3 is fricken artwork!!!
