Rob well done for sharing your experience of having a golf lesson with Liam Robinson. It’s so insightful watching the before and after. Hearing you talk about your challenges. Watching the swing analysis of the before swing. Hearing the diagnosis of the problem and why and how the step lateral drill helps with your hip rotation and tendency to fall too much downward into your lead knee a very comm fault with younger players. So you end up staying too central/ over your lead side. The step drill is so good for you. Also this idea of pushing energy down up and around in an arc as you progress into your backswing as opposed to merely lifting the hands and arms independently of your lateral shift with rotation. The towel drill is giving you the freedom to release the club once you complete your lateral shift back into your lead side. Now that you have improved your lateral hip rotation in the backswing your lead hip is slightly more level which allows you in your transition to shift it lower first then push up away from the ground as you swing out to the ball. Liam is such a brilliant coach for you.

The amount of liars in the comments is embarrassing, all now stripping it Aparently, of course you are 👍
Not questioning liams methods as he’s a world class coach but I do have a question
A few years ago I’d got fixated with weight shift, and wasn’t improving. I had a lesson and I’d started to sway with trying to shift weight
What’s the difference between swaying when Liam talks about moving off the ball and back ?
Spot on Rob! I have coached for 50 yrs and wasted the first 25 yrs coaching positions. Got lucky with a few but abject fail at with the rest. Most important thing for everyone to remember tho, is the importance of stability at finish.
As a left handed person playing right handed, I think I might have found my ticket to the masters 😅. I completely buy into this.
Thanks for the content and Liam's wisdom
This is the best lesson I’ve ever seen
The guy's s bloody genius 😅
This was amazing. I wish I could hear it better. I can’t understand everything. The part I could hear are gold! Beautiful swing man. Love the flighted ball flight.
I’ve watched the channel (and subscribed) for years Rob- what I find amazing is just how consistently good Liam is and what a nice guy.
I’ve seen him with some others who are bordering on arrogance at times and he’s still so nice.
His concepts just make so much sense.
Are you still golfing these days Rob? Any goals for 2025?
Thanks to Liam for allowing this solid gold to be shared ! Coaching historically has broken the swing into pieces that you're supposed to put together, THIS moving and 'feel based' method is streets ahead.
Go to say Liam has explained the swing better than anyone ive ever heard. Totally clear, completely makes sense. Now that the weather is changing my winter training is sorted and i can do it in the back garden.
Liam named 'the Scheffler slide', but seriously, have a look at Greg Norman. 😉
I'm 75 Yr old guy, and think your coaching is so easy to follow, after watching countless of others I vastly improved straight from the get go, absolutely brilliant 👏 👌
