I thought the SigPro Softy is a great mat? You can stick a tee in that one

If you buy a mat, just be sure the turf is nylon and not polypropylene.

Matt, do you still use it? My son got one, ended up putting a Fiberbuilt hitting strip in his to relieve the pain from hitting on it.
The monster mat is the best practice mat I’ve ever hit off of. Beat damn customer service as well. The fibers that come off on your club rub off with one finger
My concern would be is that going to wear out fast
Coming to this late as I am just starting to put my simulator together.. anyone know why he says if the tee stands up on its own it’s bad? Looking at a mat that has 1 1/4” turf and seems pretty decent

Any high end hitting mat should have a sacrificial piece built into it. There’s no way any material can stand up to repeated strikes from golf clubs.
