You got an OF for these clubs?

@leocondon1 says:

hey , good luck . flying to chiang mai on January 6th out of Boston. I have been a lot, if you need some help when you there please look me up.

I bought/won a complete Wilson aggressor set of clubs plus a bag and 1967 Ping anser putter for £10 + postage from ebay during lock down. The replacement grip for the brass putter cost me just more than that but I love putting with it. During the last 5 years I have won the trophy we 4 play for weekly at a ratio of above 50% and I put ( no pun intended) down to my beloved PING Putter❤ it still gives me supreme putt8ng confidence as per your vid, thanks😊

I'm a full-fledged nerd when it comes to the Ping Anser.
I've got two, a 2000 Custom Shop WRX (the teal long-neck hosel) and a 2004 G2i (with the cute blue insert).
Souped up an old Anser X for my sister and am currently restoring my dad's old original Anser.

Few things on planet earth I enjoy more than a nice custom Ping Anser and a Fender Jazz Bass with a matching headstock.

@2bNIKEt1 says:

If a second hand anser/anser2 is not the first option for a new golfer, they are getting bad advice from someone lol

@gtpwilly350 says:

I have a old Becu Anser & you can control it so much. The flat face lets you put spin where you want it. The goat of putters here.

@dannyhollands1606 says:

I've had 2 Ping Anser putters. 1st one was stolen and I've had the 2nd one since 1993. Finally retired it for a Taylormade Spider last week.

@samallan3356 says:

I bought a Ping PLD but have gone back to a Ping Pal 4 as I found it much easier

@davidtomsett says:

I have a 1970s classic Anser and on slow UK greens, it’s too light. Changed it for a Cobra slant neck Nova 40, and never looked back. It can have heavier weights inserted. I still have the Ping, if anyone wants to offer me a decent price?

@jackhildebranski1902 says:

My dad gifted me his Anser which my grandpa had given him, and I’ve never taken it out of my bag, I’ve gotten maybe 4 other putters since then but something about the nostalgia of the club is what brings me to always use it, sometimes feels like both them are there with me you know!

@johnr1038 says:

Is a Ping CU5 putter the same as a Ping Anser?

@peterguildford2133 says:

I bought an old second hand Anser 2 two weeks ago. Put it straight in my bag without much of a practice and played two rounds on newly cord greens. Amazingly I went from an SG (strokes gained) of -1 to an SG of +1 on both rounds! A two shot swing on really poor greens (the Anser had the worse of the conditions). My other putters used before hand were the 8802 and the Scotty Fastback. I think the Anser will be in my bag for quite a while on this showing.

@temporarystranger95 says:

The original Ping Anser is iconic, and like you said, it is the blueprint for all modern blade putters. My classic Ping putter of choice is the Pal. It is more upright that favors my putting technique. I have several of them and the Pal is still my gamer. I have never putted better with another putter.

@wilsonimrie3140 says:

I use my grandfathers one of these and i love it (its older than me) he's no longer with us so it's also like he's with me every time i play. tried many others but just keep coming back to the old anser!

@paulcarpenter3164 says:
