Thanks for the review Lee. Just bought a G430 7 wood. Taken my G425 3 wood out of the bag as I hardly use it. Now got G30 driver, G25 5 wood (which I love) and now the G430 7 wood. Fingers crossed it is worth the £299 I paid for it !

You tested the 5 Wood in the G 430 series. Today I gave the Ping G 430 3 Wood a try. I owned the G 425 in the 3 wood and played it all of last year. I liked it but I have to say at least in the 3 Wood I did notice some big differences. I bought one in Senior flex. Club felt somewhat lighter and easier to hit than my senior flex G 425 3 wood. Now while they both took the ball off the turf well I noticed right away that the G 430 was even easier to hit off the turf which really surprised the heck out of me. I felt my dispersion was better too. I am not quite sure what Ping has done but at least for me it felt like a major difference which to be honest I never expected. Off the tee felt great too. Ping somehow manages to improve all the time. Noise or sound wise? Well to be honest sound never bothers me but everyone is different. Now I have to think about wether to swap out the # 5 G 425 Wood for one in the G 430 series. Considering the difference I felt in the 3 wood I think I will. Being probably what would be called a mid handicap golfer perhaps the difference in forgiveness etc made more of a difference in my case. I am a senior golfer and definitely not at your level Lee. Got fitted into G430 7W recently and absolutely love it. Consistently 225 yards, barely missed a fairway. Found the 5W a bit too close to my existing 3W so opted for 7W – don't think I'll ever not game one now!
Yes I have the 425 5 wood and love it. Sold the 3 wood and bought a TSR 2 7 wood. Over last 2 weeks I sold G425 max driver and picked up the (for the sound difference only) 430 max and upgraded shaft to a Ventus Blue 6s and polished it off with Jumbomax lite medium grip. I am ready for the season. I loved the 425 max driver but after the last year the sound got on my nerves.

When hitting in to the green I always have the 10% rule.
So from 220 yards the ok miss is 22 yards. Let's me have more realistic expectations when hitting in to the green.
917f is still my favorit fairway wood.

I tried all the newer stuff but i dont like how flat the heads are. Especially ping fairway woods.
How would this compare to the Mizuno st230 fairway woods ? also verbal slipup at 10:43 is hilarious but you might want to fix 🙂
Currently using a Calloway X2 hot 4wood .. with the adjustment on the Pings (which obviously I haven't got)does the G425 have the adjustment to a 4 wood degree?? (G425 3 or 5 wood)

I had the G425 was disappointing tbh lack of distance for me, tried an 0211, same results, went back to a TM one, the Sim much better.
I lurv my Ping K15 5 wood. I wonder if it might be even more forgiving than the club you're gaming there
You need to try the Cobra LTDx 3 and 5 wood they to me are the easiest to hit, the look and feel are amazing as well. They're both in my bag.
