I wonder what happened to old "Two Gloves" Mr. Tommy Gainie? His basball/golf swing won him a bunch of money on the mini tours. So much so that he earned his way on to the PGA Tour. I rarely watch that tour anymore. That is why I lost track of him. ????????????????????
Actually, there is a lot to like about this gentleman's golf swing. It's a baseball swing. He finishes with his weight posted on his lead leg. I imagine that he hits the ball a long way. There are all kinds of ways to swing a golf club. The key for me has been mastering a consistent tempo throughout my bag. Example: One potato, two potato, three potato, set trigger finger…swing! I used the count to remind me to finish the backswing and set the club at the top before starting the downswing motion. Having a swing system I can rely on makes the game a lot easier for me. Using much lighter graphite Regular and Senior flex shafts instead of the heavy steel stiff flex shafts I grew up with has been a huge distance gain. I am also less physically tired at the end of the round playing in this brutal Texas heat. ????????????????????????
