Get fitted and buy clubs that work for your game today and hit the shit out of them! You are not going to buy your way into being a better player — you just won’t. Go be a better person and just enjoy golf on the few occasions when you do play.
I converted to hybrids back in 2008. I have an odd bag of 14. Driver, 16,19,22 degree J36 hybrids, 5-PW J36 Blades 42,56,60 degree wedges and a putter.
I’ve been looking at getting some new clubs recently and it seems like there are not a lot of 16 degree hybrids anymore so I might have to swap to a 3 wood. I like the idea of some of the new technology irons over
Blades but I can’t stand the size, look and offset after playing blades for 30 years.

Bought a Mizuno 245 #7 hollow. I love it. Also MP20 # 7 and 9. I use the 9 all the time. It is fantastic for "feel" pitches and chips 🍟!

Getting fitted is a waste of time for the average golfers. If you're a 10 under then a fitted set might work for you. Most average golfers get fitted and then think they're pros is funny to watch. How many of you that got fitted actually got way better? Don't start lying? Did you really shave 8-10 strokes off your game….go get a used set of clubs for chesp and use the rest on proper lessons
Most guys I see with $$$$$$ bags are hauling them around as a status symbol. They would be far better off spending on a few lessons😉. There are quite a few decent less expensive clubs that get the job done. Unless you’re a pro you’re burning cash. I’m good with my Cleveland launcher xl clubs, putter and wedges…. I’m not spending thousands to knock a ball around the course a few times a week. I’m a decent golfer, but it’s a pass time not a career. I could spend more but I don’t see the point ✌️🤘👍.
Best irons in my opinion are Wilson, I’ve had the big brand irons over the years and I can’t get over how good Wilson irons are, everyone has a preference though,
I’m a beginner and have purchased a cheap set of Titleist MB’s to develop my strike in preparation for using my CB’s when I eventually get out onto the course and become a walking g hazard. Mixed results so far but when I hit it sweetly and straight feels so good 👌
I did it the other way around, I bought clubs that I liked and knew was good clubs for a scratch player and then I worked hard on getting the ability to play with them. I went from a 7 hcp to close to scratch! What is the point of getting fit for clubs that supports your current ability if you are aiming lower? Now club fitters say that I have very suitable clubs for my golf game and I think that they are even good to get a bit lower……and I am 64….!

This is my first time watching your video and I loved it. I don't purchase luxury bags and I probably never will, or if I do, it will be pre-loved. But I do buy kisluxs occasionally of the styles that I really like. I truly appreciate your comparisons here, which have helped me make a decision about a couple for which I was on the fence. I'll be pulling the trigger now. Thanks for this and your humor.
