these club tests are completely irrelevant. If the driver isn't being tested by an average golfer then the results mean nothing. A golf Pro could pick up literally any driver and get good results.

i have had the triple diamond 8 degree for 2 yrs and it is NOT for avg ball strikers. Although I hit around 70% fairwayd depending on the course, at times I still have trouble getting a high launch.
I just ordered the smoke max 9 degree and I'm hoping to hit more fairways and bombs.
Mark at the end did you not test the Max D? I ask as I have just purchased the Ladies version.
I am using a 2014 Callaway Big Bertha driver. I saw your old review on this and you were hitting about 265. With this new, Callaway AI driver you are hitting 310-320. Does this mean there is that much of a difference in balls and driver in 2024? And/or are you swinging faster and better? This would be interesting to hear your take on this. Thank you!
Playing an Ai Smoke Max. It might be due to upgrading from a 915 which was nearly 10 years old but the difference between the two clubs is very obvious. The smoke is a much better driver.

I picked this up yesterday. After just 15 range balls the shaft came loose from the head. Callaway did not include a wrench so my disappointment is up as are my expectations once I tighten it up. If this is a r.epeating occurance, back it goes

Callaway didn't use AI. They just used simulations of impact physics which has been around for decades. No supercomputers, just workstations with high end GPU's. No machine learning. No aliens involved here, people. Just marketing.
Seems like Mark was more enthusiastic about testing this club compared to the Qi10.
Mark I will never buy one of these stupidly expensive drivers. I play off scratch. I paid $10 AUD for my used PGF V8 beta titanium 450cc driver on a regular flex cheap arse graphite shaft 14yrs ago. It hit draws, fades, straights, high ones and low ones because I practice and takes lessons. It drives 250m (273yrds) on the full all day long. Sometimes 270m (295yrds) on the full. No one makes fun of me for owning it either. Many of the members at my club including the young blokes love to have a turn and they laugh when it hits just as far and sounds just as good as their very expensive models. I guess I need others to keep buying the expensive stuff so I can get a bargain whenever I feel like it.
Hi from Australia, I did see these drivers today at my pro shop, the only good thing that I could say about them was.
They sat beautifully, for God sake we know they have a carbon crown, but I don't like looking at gloss carbon crown.
To look down at them, it's too busy.
Its not classy.

Great review Mark! I'd love to see the comparison testing between previous Callaway drivers, I wouldn't expect much difference between the Paradym from last year but I wonder how much difference there is to my driver Callaway Epic Sub Zero which is only 4 years old
