Don't fall into the grey hole (no man's land) when buying a starter golf set! I have found the best starter golf set on the market in 2021 which offers best value for quality amongst packages ranging from £150-£900!
Trust me, this is the way to go! You can't buy a expensive starter package and expect it to be a long term solution! The clue is in the title, no matter how much you spend, they're designed to get you ‘started only'.
Save you money for year 2 or 3 when you will require a mid to high handicappers custom fitted golf set!

Spot on with this. TaylorMade are producing a really poor quality package set for £1000 at the moment, which I tried and the quality felt no better than these Wilsons. There is also a Rife set in AG reduced from £499 to £349 at present with 2 hybrids included.
Love your advice. I’m thinking about getting the macgregor golf cg3000 package set 10 clubs for £299 what’s your opinion on those please? Ohh and I am disabled with metal in arm and leg. Thanks ????

good video, i am returning to golf, my irons are wilson X31 Plus from 25 – 30 years ago, cavity back game improvement clubs. My woods are 3,5 wood persimmon woods by wilson bought 2nd hand, the driver a large metal headed item from my dads old set. I play to around 20 H cap, and looking to treat myself to a new set of irons custom fitted.
Great advice from Gary don't blow the cash on a standard set at £600+ unless they can be adjusted for you. Ping 425 £600 with trade in at a local pro shop. there are so many clubs to choose from and far too easy to just splash the cash for thre new shiny things. My irons still hit the ball a good distance, the inconsistency is in my swing.
course of lessons booked and 6 holes with the pro plus video analysis and during the course of lessons a custom fit will probably be done for the irons initially, the 3,5 wood are still very sweet clubs. Once i get some consistency with the driver then i might change the woods, I personally have never liked the extar large heads on the metal woods evena as far back as the 80/90's

I started playing properly after first lockdown and got the Wilson x31 starter pack +1 longer, great beginner set… I changed the putter and could probably use an upgraded driver but the irons, wedges and 3wood are excellent and great value, similar to the ultra xD and came with a bag too. Good value for a newbie.
Great advice. Got my wife a set of clubs called Golf Girl Fws2 £140 Great reviews. Full set includes bag. Wife is only 5’1” these are perfect for the shorter lady.
Pro where she started group lessons was well impressed. No Playing a custom fit set of callaways but did her time with the starter set.
Fantastic value when you don’t know how someone will take to the game.
